    Nick, I have been watching your videos for a couple of years now. Have seen some of the upgrades you have made to Smugglers. Missed this original tour! It is fantastic the level of thought you put into what you wanted in a boat and why that is important to you. May not be for everyone, but you help people think of how they want to use a boat. This, my friend is very helpful. Plus your enthusiasm from 5 years ago to now has not changed! Brilliant as you say!

    Carbon monoxide has the same density as air and can form pockets. So it doesn't dissipate as much as you might think, or move around. So you should get those CO monitors out of the little creches and put them on the ceiling or walls higher up, where air currents will hit.

    What a truly beautiful and practical little vessel you have there. For myself I'd want a bit more refrigeration on board, nothing a couple 12/24v cooler couldn't handle, and a lithium setup with an inverter/charger a small generator to keep the bank properly charged. The modifications you've made are exactly what I'd expect from you and your more practical way of approaching things as well as just making things easier and nicer to interact with. She truly is a nice little vessel that with a few practical upgrades I'd make for my own tastes I think would make an excellent live aboard for me and mine. I could see spending a summer in the Bahamas aboard her as something I would thoroughly enjoy. Thank you for the in depth tour and sharing her with us and knowingly giving up a little of your privacy to do so...

    Thanks Nick, I've watched some of your reviews of the bigger boats but I particularly enjoyed this tour , your enthusiasm for your own boat is great. I appreciated the explanation about the wider beam available if not trailering . Thanks for sharing. David from Treasure Divers UK

    I know it's an old video and i hope someone already told you but carbonmonoxide is denser then air so it sinks to the bottom your meter should always be placed below where you're head is going to be
    in you cabin you have it by the window but sleep at least a meter below it place it somewhere near the floor.
    I hope this advice helps to save a life.
    thanks for al the content Nick love your video's

    • @AQUAHOLIC
      @AQUAHOLIC  3 роки тому +1

      This is the official advice:
      Because carbon monoxide is slightly lighter than air and also because it may be found with warm, rising air, detectors should be placed on a wall about 5 feet above the floor. The detector may be placed on the ceiling. Do not place the detector right next to or over a fireplace or flame-producing appliance.

    Love your boat!! That looks like the sort of experience on the water I've been fantasizing about. Enjoyed my late uncle's Chris Kraft on Lake Ontario as a kid in the '50's. Hope you continue to enjoy this great boat.

    It's amazing just how much room you have in an 8 metre boat, and it doesn't look cramped, and from what I have seen it handles so easily also. With the add ons you have put into her it's a fantastic spacious boat! I'm a little bit envious with the smugglers blues 2 though nick a perfect small family boat!
