Ppl say that all the time...but I've also heard that's incorrect... because of blackfish and wanting to get them out of captivity they play down that there have been a few cases where they have attacked humans and possibly a small pod of 3 or 4 even maybe killing a man... allegedly. Possibly. Rare... but maybe happens...also there have been several instances of stalking and trying to damage or sink boats...so they want the overgrown dolphin narrative that wouldn't attack and only do in captivity because of human interference and a decay in mental health...which is all true...but doesn't mean they couldn't or havnt attacked necessarily before...I know I wouldn't swim with them...and I bet if push came to shove that alot of ppl who are so sure they wouldn't attack...wouldn't jump in the water with them either...

Those 18+ foot GWs and KWs probably just steer clear of each other if I had to guess. Otherwise we would have seen dead 18+ footers, and that hasn’t happened. Whether the white shark is an “apex predator” depends on where it is. In large parts of its range, there aren’t any KWs, so it would definitely be an apex predator in those areas.

The Orcas in South Africa responsible for the current dearth of GWs are only two in number. Anyway only one Orca actually attacks and kills the shark.
