Aussie Marcos Ambrose makes his full-time debut. Jeremy Mayfield banned from NASCAR forever after a failed substance abuse policy which led to him being locked up. And finally, the teams that partnered together after the economic crisis. Chip Ganassi and DEI now called Earnhardt Ganassi racing, Yates with Aikman and Staubach known as Yates/Hall of Fame Racing, Ray Evernham with Richard Petty, and Michael Waltrip Racing with JTG Brad Daugherty where Michael Waltrip's engines were put in Ambrose's car.
