      You are correct! The book is a Christmas count down book, called Festive coloring. It is shaped like a house too 🫶🏻

    That was great! I love the new term “Art Legibility”!!! So fitting, sums up the pages from Magick Apothocary perfectly.
    Ty for doing the flip throughs, I’m headed to Amazon to get Autumn House, that’s just too adorable!! 😊

      @@DawnWilliams-t8y hey there and yes, I know what you mean. I love that autumn house book. It’s so heartwarming and cozy. It will look amazing once it’s colored in. I don’t know where my art legibility came from but that just popped in and now we are going to stick with it lol. If I’m looking at pages and my brain hurts then it’s not visually legible 😂

    I think Halloween is a very Us thing, bcz allhough some celebrate it here, it have never take off like in US. We dont have anything pumpkin tasting, or special foods. Kids does go trick or treat, but most years its not many kids doing it either. Last 8 years maybe i never got a visit from kids. I had candy ready but..

      @@ylvenwolf6043 this is really interesting to hear about. What country do you live in? You’re saying Halloween is not much of a culture anywhere but the United States. Seems maybe Halloween is a stem break off though of Sawain which I thought was Celtic.

    Thanks for showing the Mythographic book. I really like it. It’s the perfect example of what you were talking about, the legibility thing. Cause i look at these images and i recognize a lot of the themes. There are chakras, tarot themes, a wishing well with coins, wicca symbols, chinese astrology, white and black magic… perfect example of art legibility. Thanks ❤

      @@Nathalieroy2624 hi there. That’s what I was saying that everybody has a completely different opinion about artwork and what appeals to them to color. Certainly, I know enough about chakras and tarot and astrology, but I’m not so into it that I know what every little symbol means and whatnot. It doesn’t really appeal to me to color that kind of stuff and I just felt like in this book everything was too cluttered on the page. But if you like it, you certainly should get it.

      I love your honesty. That Mythographic was not my fave either. But, I am sure some folks will color it beautiful.

    It's ok to draw black looking black people because we are in fact black 😀

    • @thecoloringoasis5616
      @thecoloringoasis5616  Місяць тому

      @@KessaWitdaFro definitely. However, I have seen some artists torn to shreds in the press for drawing characters with a particular race due to this more cultural sensitivity in our world these days. So I think you looked at it the opposite of the way that I intended to say it. Some of the way that these artists were drawing characters were being accused of reversed racism. Whatever that means. Hence, why I commented on it. Some people think it’s racism to draw characters a particular race and some people think it’s racism to not ever show characters a particular race. No matter who you are you can’t win either way. So I think more artists are going with with keeping it up to the colorist to choose. I’m in the process of publishing a portrait coloring book where I clearly show characters of all nationalities. I think that’s better than the opposite.

    I just don't get the appeal of horror coloringbooks. Sometimes the part is good but I wouldn't want to spend hours looking at something scary or gory in order to color it. Sorry. Just my opinion. I liked the autumn colors book very much.

    • @thecoloringoasis5616
      @thecoloringoasis5616  Місяць тому

      @@myname20242 I know what you mean. I think it depends on what it is. Lots of people like to color Halloween pictures but not gore. Horror is a spin off of Gothic and the Gothic literature and architecture era. Ghosts, spooky stories, eerie landscapes, supernatural, that kind of thing. Horror can be cute like technically hocus-pocus Disney is considered a type of horror, but it’s family grade. The nightmare before Christmas, day of the dead, Dracula, Frankenstein, are all types of horror and all completely different. And those are some of the most famous books and movies in history. People say they don’t like horror but they love Halloween and like to color Halloween pictures but there’s different grades of it and they don’t realize that Halloween is a type of horror. Like Deborah Muller has tons of creepy girls, characters, graveyard queens, ghost, graves, etc. and she has thousands and thousands of followers but it’s not terrifying etc. but it is still considered horror. Like I don’t like horror movies whatsoever and I haven’t even seen most of the classic movies, but I enjoy the artwork if the artist is talented. I don’t think most people look at their coloring pages once they’re colored no matter what they are lol.
