This video is a look at Sections 1 and 2 of Chapter 24 of Marx's Capital Volume 1, Transformation of Surplus-Value into Capital. Marx begins by examining the necessary expansion and accumulation of capitalism's reproduction, as it must reproduce itself on a constanly reproducing scale in order to actually reproduce itself. It must always produce more means of production and labour power (and sustenance for that expanding labour power) than it previously used in order to reproduce itself. Marx also briefly argues against Political Economists who argue that this process is beneficial to the workers.
