Okay, the idea behind the hitch pins being offset is so that the plow is running level in the furrow. So, on the first pass you set the plow level like you had it, then you drop your right tires in the furrow and adjust the plow so that's its again level with the ground and you get nice even forrows from there on.
They are still called top link pins. He trued to hook the plow to the tractor using the I-match quick hitch at first and found out that a quick hitch is not compatible with a plow. Don’t know why he removed the bold and fastened the top link there instead of the hole above with a pin.
When you have to adjust your arms count the turns. It makes putting it back to level very easy when you know how many turns you moved it. Or another way is measure the threads.
Hello GWAT, for planting and making rows you should try the disc attachment with the level adjustment jib in the center, it helps a lot, and sets me up in no time, it’s very inexpensive and gets the job done! Happy Farming🚜🌽🥬
Yeah, I was pretty bummed about it too. I only started with two rear attachments and I could only use the box blade with the iMatch. Oh well. Although, I am sure the more iMatch attachments I get the more valuable it will seem. It sure is easy to pop the box blade on and off.
That’s a great idea. A friend has a 2038R and he has grab hooks. I was at his place and saw the value quickly. I am not sure what a Clevis Mount is, but I’ll have a look. Thanks for the advice.
@@GeekTractor Clevis mount can be useful too. Both on Amazon. Im getting a 2038R and will mount the hooks where the loader arms meet the bucket and the clevis mount in the middle
Nice! I have a friend who does welding. I talked with him about putting them on. You will probably see a video about it on this channel in the future :)
I was a bit nervous about plowing for the first time. I had hit a pretty big rock and roots too which made me a bit more cautious. You can see I am a bit more ambitious in the fall plowing video here: ua-cam.com/video/TEjhhN6WGqY/v-deo.html
Your top link goes in the empty hole at the top. The one you disconnect I'd to provide structure and support to the plow. Would have worked if that was fixed
I posted a better filmed version of the single blade plow here. Better angles and perspective. Enjoy!

The top link uses a top link pin. Maybe they call them "quick link bolts" these days, but its a top link pin. You're learning. Keep at it.

Good advice man!

See the John Deere video "Using the One Bottom Plow" here on UA-cam. I have the two bottom version and it takes some time getting it set right.
Yeah I found out that the iMatch doesn’t work with all attachments the hard way.

nice. also maybe get some grabhooks and a Clevis Mount to attach to the bucket, help lift logs/stuff off the truck

I have no idea why he didn’t actually drop the plow in the ground

Plows are not designed to use with a quick hitch
10/10 better than farming simulator
You need to learn how to set up and use a moldboard plow.
Lots a videos on it !
I was gonna watch this, but got motion sickness after a few minutes. I gotta get some fenagrine quick!
Lol! That’s funny. Yeah my 9 year old was filming some of it.
Here. This one is much improved. ua-cam.com/video/TEjhhN6WGqY/v-deo.html
Yep pretty clear you’ve never run a plow and don’t know what your doing but at least your trying.
PS: buy some man shoes before you loose some toes.
Thanks for the advice.
