You weren’t watching inside the NBA at four years old gtfoh lol I was born in 94’ I was in preschool in 98’ I remember moments here and there but the idea a 4 year old is watching late night NBA games and postgame shows is ridiculous stop it
4 year old child tuning in to a late night talkshow to hear what Kenny smith has to say about the Portland trailblazers bench production and rotations. Why do people feel the need to lie to feel included in the most mundane things lmao
@bentheisraelite kidd just seen the game different. Completely controlled ever aspect of the game. Without even having to shoot a lot. Basketball genius.
West conf was stacked all 20 years of Kobe’s career to go 5-2 in the Finals is legendary considering Timmy D won another 5-1 in that same span. Kobe forever my goat
Damn, young Pierce. Funny that the first segment was covering Doc Rivers of all people too -- and he referenced the St. Louis Rams who'd go on to lose Super Bowl 36 against the Patriots and some guy named Tom Brady, 10 months from when this originally aired.
@@Pepprjack1 Pierce would be a perfect replacement for Chuck/Kenny/Shaq too, but I think networks would be too afraid of him. Luckily he's on YT with KG and they're god damn hilarious to listen to.
4:14 - Fun fact: Half the teams that won Game 1 in their 1st Round matchups ended up losing the series. The Mavs, 76ers, Raptors, and Kings all advanced.
This was the year Paul Pierce was damn near stabbed to death right before the season started and played in every game. Legendary player imo. Not top ten at all but definitely top 15-20 of all time. The truth 🥶 life threatening event aside, the elite stars of today don't play all 82 games. Not even close to having that pride 💯
The Buzz Club (which was a gay club too). It was one of Benzino's boys that stabbed him too -- and it was because Piece was sleeping with Benzino's girl at the time.
Its so weird watching this now some of these players are hall of famers others I completely forgot about tbh lol then seeing the crew look so damn young is crazy too
The 2000-2001 Bucks = the East team that many felt could have beaten any of the West teams in the 2001 NBA Finals had the Bucks made it there. Bucks lost to the Iverson-Sixers in the East Finals in 7 games
I read Ray Allen's book. He said he felt the bucks got messed up by free throw disparity. A la Sacramento. He said he felt the league wanted Philly in the finals vs LA because they were a big market city compared to Milwaukee which was not a big market
early version of how teams play today. Antoine walker bringing down the ball and they shoot a bunch of 3s for that era. Tony Battie a big who doesnt post up,.his role is to rebound, block shots. they have 3 and D players like E williams and Walter Mccarty, Paul Pierce doing the herky jerky hesi and step backs. just didnt have enough talent outside of Pierce and depth. Antoine Walker is great when he's clicking but sometimes his shot selection is suspect again very similar to todays game.
Man I'm sitting here smoking weed getting high as hell watching this, this is great content straight nostalgia man keep up the Great content
Damn good nostalgia and weed to go with it 💯
same
Same. I’m getting lit, looking up all the old stuff lol
you’re not alone sir
Same here 😂😂
This is more enjoyable than current NBA.
Seriously though 💯 You tell no lies, friend
Sadly this is going to be the final year for tnt broadcasting nba games
This set looked so much better. Man I miss the swagger and visuals of the 90’s and 00’s
it’s something about the Knicks and Lakers courts in the early 2000s that just make me feel like a kid again 😂
Facts... the lighting of the area made the courts pop.. miss those old days of Staples and Madison Square
Facts 😂 back to the simple times
They kept that same court for the Knicks from the 1995-96 season till the 2010-11 season
Miss that song in the beginning as a kid back then loved it
Man when I tell you I’m grateful to be born in a time to experience all of this in real time! Born in 97’ been a basketball fan since 4 years old

Kidd won wherever he went. Criminallu underrated.
My fav pure PG
@Dark0_Cl0ud he was so good
@@xavierjohnson4496 I’m happy to see other kidd fans . His IQ was second to none in the league since I seen him in jersey . I think higher than Kobe .

Before new fans and media ruined the game with their revisionist history, ppl knew kidd was a beast on the court top 5-10 pg all time
Those commercials are fantastic great memories.
West conf was stacked all 20 years of Kobe’s career to go 5-2 in the Finals is legendary considering Timmy D won another 5-1 in that same span. Kobe forever my goat
this is a vibe. soulful
That old tnt theme music “excellence” 🔥🔥
Truth averaged 25 that year and didn’t make the all star team 😵💫
Cleo commercial "call-may NOW" 😂😂😂
Loved that theme back then
Shaq was just unguardable nothing you could do to stop him...

And Doc Rivers coaching against the Bucks who he is now coaching

The truth! 🍀☘️
Didn’t even realize Paul Pierce was here until Ernie did his awkward black handshake with him at the end of the show.
If possible more 2001 playoff episodes
Man the media has changed, now its too much hate and less analyze the game
its just gossip
Its so weird watching this now some of these players are hall of famers others I completely forgot about tbh lol then seeing the crew look so damn young is crazy too
How they gonna play with one of the greatest NIKE commercials of all time 😂😂😂😂
7:35 - Unfortunately, Doc was not only wrong about this in this series but for the rest of his Magic tenure.
I miss mustache Charles lol
Facts lol
As we can clearly see by this time kobe was carying the team he 25 points in the second half
One half isn't carrying the team... 0 finals mvps and regular season mvps when he was a sidekick
Shaq carried who?? 🤦🏾🤦🏾🤦🏾 Smh. They needed each other. Kobe was 22 years old 💪🏾😎🙏🏾
Wow so scary movie 2 basketball scene was a parody of inside the nba 😂😂😂

@@bbryant9455 not just Philly being a bigger market, but also Iverson being basically the biggest star in the NBA, especially that 2000-2001 season
The celtics were too ass to be in the playoffs which is why Paul Pierce had free time.

@theclassicmanila-style8435 next year they added Rodney Rodgers who was also a front court player that you could go small with yet he shot 3s
8:30 Vanessa Bryant (lost her favorite daughter Gigi and her husband Kobe)💜💛
20:43 NASCAR on TNT (pre-logo before being change on June 12)
Mf you weird
Young Truth
Miss Cleo 🙏🏾
If I'm right I only saw 1 three pointer in the highlights the entire show. That's pretty interesting to me
wait is this where scary movie 2 got that scene 😭
32:33 wat was that handshake lmfao
28:42 Pause Kenny that was crazy
I was a freshman in high school. This is so cool and sad lol now I’m 38! (Look 28 doh) 😎 lol

Too much Bucks/Magic coverage in this episode. Not a well-balanced show at all.
