I'm from Florida and went to college in Florida and my roommate in college was from Canada, I knew nothing about Canada until I met him and this was one of the first things he showed me.
As an immigrant who established in Toronto since 1999, I am very proud to be a Canadian. This country has provided me with every opportunity that I could ask for. People often complaint about the high taxes, but as a person who lives in Canada, I believe every tax money is being well spent and I am happy to pay for it. Please for you commenting haters that are American - this commercial is not aimed at you. As Canadians travel around the world we are hit with every one of these stereotyping comments from "Do you live in an igloo?" to "What is a toque?" As Canadians we do see the humor in it. Concerning the comments about how we as Canadians treat our Indigenous People; many First Nations people and white people live together in harmony. In fact I come from a mixed family and I am proud of that fact. Our governing policies may not be perfect but we do not live in a dictatorship and First Nation's people have a voice. We are evolving and growing as an international community within one country.
