Congrats on being an Aggie! I know quite a few people from there and they were all major success stories! From one dude starting college to another….this should be Interesting eh!

Congratulations on getting accepted into UC Davis! I toured their campus, and it is a beautiful place to learn! I was initially considering applying, but my parents said they don't have undergraduate nursing, and they want me to start in community college first. Enjoy learning Computer Science over there! BTW, Davis has a class called "The Design of Coffee" where you drink and learn all about coffee!
Thank you, all the best with your own college journey and yes I am indeed aware of that coffee class. I would have taken it except it would be excess credit since my CS classes give me the same general education credit haha.
International acceptance rates. Citizens get higher priority than internationals for admissions. I can't say its unfair, but it definitely makes it harder.
I don’t want to turn this into a college oriented channel, but I have added a link in the description with my stats and essays. Feel free to check that out.
Congratulations🎉❤! Just curious to know why you and so many people feel the need to apply to so many schools, like what is the reasoning behind that? Also how much on average is an application fee?
its easier to see to a rejection now than wonder 10 years down the road “what if I applied to xyz school”. At the same time not shotgunning gives you more time to solidify the application but different perspectives
Though that sounds plausible, do consider the fact that my rank was also submitted to every college (i.e. 2nd/51 in 11th grade.) plus some universities like the UC System only asked for my positional grade not percentages (positionally I was A1) It is definitely one of the reasons but probably not the only reason.
Also, its common in India for grade deflation to occur in 11th grade to prepare us for the national level board exams in grade 12. Most universities are aware of this. Fun fact- UC Davis didn’t even ask for my official 9th and 11th grade reports (And in their system I had all A1s for 11th grade due to me submitting the positional grades instead of percentages)💀
Hey! Do you think people preparing for IIT should consider applying abroad as a backup plan? If yes, then can you give me some tips on how to get started?
It's feasible but personally I would not recommend. IITs are enterance exam focused, while most of these institutions are holistic. If you’re open to safety schools abroad, it’s worth exploring. But if you are chasing the top schools in both areas, it might end up distracting you from creating a good profile for either. Check their admission criteria online on the webpages of each university. Goodluck!
@@ayaan6379 Look at my UC essays and the additional info section, its clarified there as well incase it's not visible on the webpage. Also I was able to get in touch with my AO (some transcript submission issues), and they don't really care about 11th and 9th grade results for Indian board students as much as board results.
I didn’t, UCs rarely do that with international students since they are public universities. If you get into honors though then you can get that. (You can get into honors on admission or in your first quarter if you perform well enough you might be invited to join honors in your second quarter.)

honestly his stats are amazing i think he only got rejected because he score a 73.6% in 11th
mainly because he's international; he def would've done well if he was a us citizen or resident
@@terrible2d im sure its harder for intl students but a 73.6% is unacceptable to any ivy/t20 school and even most state schools
@@anushkaverma2203 i know people who had multiple c's get into ivy's and t20s... it's possible, you just have to stand out in other ways
