Its a MRO facility.. why you guys are peddling fake news. Dassault systems had already clarified their stance on Indian manufacturing unit. They won’t establish an unit until India orders 110+ jets.

Thanks. But once again as in most posts by Indians this too is 90% enthusiasm and 10% solid substance. There is no commitment to manufacturing from Dassault. Best case scenario is manufacturing of some sort (not necessarily Rafale) may happen in five to six years. By then if on track Tejas MKll will be four years away and Generation V aircrafts will be common. Neither Rafale nor Tejas MKll is gen V.

This is not yet clear. I dont think there is clarity sbout the whole deal As it seems, Dassault is fulfilling some of its offset obligations by setting up this facility. So it is not a matter of whether Dassault wants to.
This will obviously not be for everyday maintenance, as IAF was taught how to do this in-house. It has to be about major maintenance, and possibly retrofit. I expect IAF to seek upgrade of their existing fleet to Standard F4 as soon as possible.
It is likely that there will be a strategy to keep IAF and IN fleets to the same technical standard.

In any case, the plan is obviously to insure that India is self-sufficient to get retrofit and overhaul for the entire lifetime of its Rafale fleets. And this tells me there is a yet-to-be disclosed plan for a larger fleet than what exists now.
