I can empathize with Raya. It's scary to feel unsafe and sometimes our bodies and minds just reach their limit. Adventures are fun but I can only handle short bits of this kind of intensity. I much prefer chilling & calculated risk in small doses haha good for you Raya! Truly a once in a lifetime adventure and I'm sure all kinds of stories to tell your family :)
This totally reminded me of the old school fun for Louis vlogs! I can only imagine the stress level for Raya and understand that emotions would have been running high! Its probably best that the sensitive stuff wasn't filmed but glad you updated us at the end!
I was so scared watching the bus with the leaking diesel drive over the fire!! So glad you guys made it across the border. Looking forward to the next vlog with sloths!
I get stressed out even watching these so I really do feel for Raya.. I think especially as a woman, situations like these can be even more daunting. Anyway I’m so glad you made it to Costa Rica safely and can’t wait to see more wedding photos, so beautiful 😍
It's absolutely fine to have different thresholds of stress peaks. One nice thing is how supportive you are of each other. It's also OK to have different adventures with different people. Don't be disheartened or disappointed with yourselves. You made it in the end ❤
18:54 people are protesting because of the high prices of gasoline in Honduras. Sorry you guys went through that. Hope you can visit the rest of Honduras sometime in the future. Honduras is beaches, mountains, jungles, archaeological sites, gastronomy, living cultures, friendly welcoming people and much more. 🇭🇳
Louis's awareness of Raya is just so sweet and warms my heart. I am VERY much a Raya in my capacity for adventure and am so impressed with her ability to endure all of this and come out on the other side. Love watching all your videos and can't wait to see more of your wedding (assuming theres a vlog coming at some point :))
Louis you are so sweet to understand Raya, that the stress can be too much! You truly are one of a kind, as is Raya. Her calm helps balance your high risk perfect match. Congratulations on your wedding, live and love long!
Hey you two 👋 just found your channel and ive been bingeing your guys adventure with my love from the comfort of our bed in our own short bus. Weve Been full time for 3 years travelling most of the usa, but we have been parked for the past 6 months helping a friend whos battling cancer and lost on where to go next. 🧐 Weve been hung up on what our next chapter holds and i think youve inspired us to start the planning phase of driving down to costa rica and finding some land hopefully in an eco community such as yourselves 🎉 Thank you guys for tour shiny spirits as well the inspiration i needed❤
Poor Riya. I totally empathize. Poor girl. Happy she's all married now and happy! All those 'friends' are thieves but you did what you had to do and escaped with your lives. You guys are absolute legends!
I'd probably be in Raya's boat as well. I love adventure but this is next level and just not a fan. Especially if I was with my partner, I'd had to get separated during such a chaotic time and not understanding the language. Hopefully you both can find a nice balance in the future where Louis can get his adrenaline junkie fulfilment and also Raya can do fun trips with her hubby. Congrats on the wedding! Been following Louis since the Tuk Tuk adventures.
Been watching the travel adventures since 2014 on Louis’ channel and I have to say this trip is up there on the sketchy, nerve wracking scale! But I’m glad you guys are safe and enjoying married life in Costa Rica now ❤️ can’t wait for the rest of the series
Yeah I have to admit all this stuff would give me a nervous breakdown. I like travel but a bus journey through Central America is probably more than I could cope with
I cannot wait for your kids to watch the ups and downs of your travelling adventures one day! You guys are so dedicated to the vlogs despite all the challenges you face. Glad you're okay :)
In South Africa citizens also burn tyres etc across the roads as a form of protest but this causes damage to the roads. Love watching how Louis manoeuvres the bus
It's so interesting that your first reaction to the tyres is confusion. Yet to those of us from 3rd world countries we instantly understand it to be protests.Same thing happens in South Africa . It's amazing how our experiences shape how we understand and respond to things.
I have seen many vlogs on driving a van or small RV thru Central America. But a schoolie. You 2 are rock stars and should have way more views on YT. Thanks for the epic video.
Amazing video! Glad you got through safe and hope you enjoyed your wedding! Really happy for you both! I have been following Louis since the food for Louis days and am so happy for the both of you!
Life is never simple! Was holding my breath when you were driving over that smoking road with your leaking diesel. I feel for Raya. With a wedding to plan you don't need too many dramas. Xx
Fire and a Diesel leak 🤔hummmmm. That one on one talk you had with the viewers Louis was exactingly what we needed to hear, I would never have been able to put myself through what you guys are going through, especially just before a wedding, that being said I do understand the excitement and adrenaline rush, Louis ....... your just not normal😂😂😂. Best of luck guys and stay safe👍👍
OMGoodness...I felt so stressed out, but I just kept watching! Just glad to know from IG that you made it to Costa Rica and are now happily married...can't wait for the wedding vlogs. Congratulations...stay blessed and safe where you are
I'm tempted to say you must have been on the same traffic with Itchy Boots but she got her way out before getting there and I'm excited all my favorite youtubers are safe and crossing the same countries. Can't wait for your wedding video😍
That form of protest is really common in Honduras. In the future I would sign up for alerts from the US embassy so you can anticipate them. Hopefully you can visit Honduras again when you are ready and can see all the country has to offer.
Please Please if you see something like that fire on a road do not run to it! this kind of fire is caused by people to block roads, this might be for political reasons or social reasons but it is never an accident and the people that make them tend to be violent, this type of manifestation are really common in south and central America. At least in my country (Chile) are called "barricadas" and are never a good thing, black smoke on the road is always a barricada hardly ever a car accident Congratulartions on your marriage!! Take care !!
im so sorry you had to go through that its so exhausting, I'm exaughsted too, I just need a break but that wont happen any time soon. i hope you can relax soon
Hola Raya & Louis!! I just wanted to say that in this context “excuse me” should be translated as “con permiso”. I love that you guys are learning Spanish 😍😍
Wow that's a rough experience, I'm sorry you had to deal with all of it. For your own awareness in case you haven't already experienced this also in Costa Rica, "tortuguism" (you can find the term used in The Tico Times and La Nación) does happen in CR as well. It's a common protest method to slow down traffic because tourism is so critical to the economy. I was last there in 2019, and there were a lot of student protests happening where they were holding signs while blocking bridges to bring awareness of the corrupt minister of education- there's even a wikipedia page about it. Taxes also increased in 2019 so there were a lot of discussions around that as well, but I've had only a peripheral awareness of Costa Rican news through my grandfather & other family since the pandemic, so I would just recommend paying attention to news around these topics in your new home! Pura Vida!
What an intense travel day! That was some traffic jam! Lucky you were able to get into Nicaragua in the end. They require a PCR test for everyone, vaccinated or not. Hope the rest of your journey to Costa Rica went smoothly.
I’m sad you didn’t have a better experience traveling through Honduras! I spent 2 weeks there last year and had an AMAZING time! It’s really a beautiful country with beautiful people (:
I’ve been doing the same lifestyle but I still wonder if it is worth putting others traveling with me at risk because let’s face it, outside most European countries and the USA it is utter chaos!! 🙌🏽
Welcome to Latin America, Dear, and also before a wedding is all full of tension. Now that all that is behind you by shure is all much better.💗🤗 Congrats on the wedding 🎉🤩❤️🍹
Bummer. I guess it’s important to do an inspection of a vehicle, clean the windows etc, before heading out. It defiantly cuts down on surprises on the road.
I don't want to downplay your feelings, but I sit in the office all day long and always wish I had challenges like yours every once in a while. I guess it's a matter of perspective.
Wow that was a packed 24 hours of stress, waiting and uncertainty! 🫣 So glad you made it safely eventually and excitedly awaiting the wedding week videos! ♥️😍

I've been watching you guys for years, mostly in silent, until today.
Congratulations on the wedding, I'm so happy for both of you. :)
How great random strangers not only checked your diesel leak but then brought a mechanic friend over. Kindness in action.
When Raya is indefinitely off-camera, you know all kinds of horrendous stuff is going down haha
I was coming to the comment to say the exact same thing hahah
I can empathize with Raya. It's scary to feel unsafe and sometimes our bodies and minds just reach their limit. Adventures are fun but I can only handle short bits of this kind of intensity. I came here to say this! I thought for sure that bus was going up in flames but Louis was cool as a cucumber. I wish I was that calm!
Diesel isn´t that big of a fire hazard as petrol. You can put out a match in diesel as it doesn´t produce the fumes as petrol does.
@@cornholio1988 wow I didn't know that! thanks for sharing

If you are curious this shows it quite well how difficult it is to light diesel on fire
I get stressed out even watching these so I really do feel for Raya.. I think especially as a woman, situations like these can be even more daunting. Anyway I’m so glad you made it to Costa Rica safely and can’t wait to see more wedding photos, so beautiful 😍
You've got more courage than I've got driving a school bus thru one of the most wild places in the world. Glad you're OK.
It's absolutely fine to have different thresholds of stress peaks. One nice thing is how supportive you are of each other. It's also OK to have different adventures with different people. Don't be disheartened or disappointed with yourselves. You made it in the end ❤
really such good advice for a healthy happy long relationship :)
18:54 people are protesting because of the high prices of gasoline in Honduras.
Sorry you guys went through that. Hope you can visit the rest of Honduras sometime in the future.

@BellaRose 🐳⭐️ probably frustration and hopelessness

Louis you are the Man. Handling all these issues with a smile on your face. Huge respect!
Poor Riya. I totally empathize. Poor girl. Happy she's all married now and happy! All those 'friends' are thieves but you did what you had to do and escaped with your lives. You guys are absolute legends!
Why do my stress levels go up watching these vlogs. 😅
Hi guys I’m from Honduras I’m so sorry you had a rough welcome but we are a country you guys are going to love!
I'd probably be in Raya's boat as well. I love adventure but this is next level and just not a fan. I appreciate how gentle you're being with her. Thank you, from somebody who overloads quickly.

I'm with Raya, I would be freaking out. I can't wait til you announce that you've made it to Costa Rica safely. Please be safe :)
they are now married so they got there
What I’ve learned from this series… not to buy a school bus, and if I did get one just not take it on extensive trips
its the added length that really makes it hard. a short/half length bus would have been 1000x easier imo
A shorter 5 window school ie is a lot easier I’ve seen as I watch nomads in them.
I cannot wait for your kids to watch the ups and downs of your travelling adventures one day! You guys are so dedicated to the vlogs despite all the challenges you face. Glad you're okay :)
Ah yes, Louis, a Brit, speaking French to Salvadoran cows while crossing the border to Honduras...
*Mr Worldwide*
Louis running to see the fire: 🏃🏃😬☹️😬🏃🏃
In South Africa citizens also burn tyres etc across the roads as a form of protest but this causes damage to the roads. Love watching how Louis manoeuvres the bus
I've never felt closer to Raya than during this video.

Paying to smooth the way is called a "facillitation fee" if you don't want to call it a "bribe".
mordida
Life is never simple! Was holding my breath when you were driving over that smoking road with your leaking diesel. I feel for Raya. With a wedding to plan you don't need too many dramas. Xx
Congrats on your wedding Raya and Louis! Can’t wait to see all the wedding content 😍

Congratulations on your wedding! Glad you finally made it to your destination safely!
"This is super cheeky, but I don't care"-Louis T-shirts should be available on your website.
Experiences like this are the mortar of a sound paring.
This really looked like one of your hardest adventures yet! The stress was palpable in this episode 🤯
Omg 😃 congratulations again you guys, your wedding looked absolutely incredible, definitely my kind of thing xx

I love how quick on his feet Louis is… reminds me of my husband. You guys are one helluva team!
I know you guys will be so glad when this trip is over!
I'm tempted to say you must have been on the same traffic with Itchy Boots but she got her way out before getting there and I'm excited all my favorite youtubers are safe and crossing the same countries. Can't wait for your wedding video😍
Money opens many doors 🚪 man what an adventure. 🙏🏾💪🏽

so nice that they so willingly helped with your bus!
I always wonder if Raya is on the bus when Louis speeds off after making it out of the camp site!😅
knowing you had a disel leak and willingly drive over a fire was BALLSY louis.. had me a bit worried there for a sec
I laughed so hard when Louis was running to put out the fire 😂😂 am from Kenya and we have similar protests
Please Please if you see something like that fire on a road do not run to it! this kind of fire is caused by people to block roads, this might be for political reasons or social reasons but it is never an accident and the people that make them tend to be violent, this type of manifestation are really common in south and central America. Congratulartions on your marriage!! Take care !!
With diesel leaking and all, it was pretty scary watching you drive over the fire ! 🙄
Glad you're ok!
Congrats on you weeding 👏 💐
Honestly, those bus adventures are the best, lots of stress, I feel that, but it's totally worth it :DD

What an intense travel day! That was some traffic jam! Lucky you were able to get into Nicaragua in the end. They require a PCR test for everyone, vaccinated or not. Hope the rest of your journey to Costa Rica went smoothly.
The US State Department has issued a 'do not travel to' warning for Honduras. What are you doing there?
And traveling in a bus … crazy, must say,,, they live in disneland,
I’m sad you didn’t have a better experience traveling through Honduras! I spent 2 weeks there last year and had an AMAZING time! It’s really a beautiful country with beautiful people (:
When you go back to Honduras, make sure you visit the island of Roatan,, it is the Diving capitol of the world !!
I’ve been doing the same lifestyle but I still wonder if it is worth putting others traveling with me at risk because let’s face it, outside most European countries and the USA it is utter chaos!! 🙌🏽
canada is not too bad :)
Australia, New Zealand seem good too. You should travel more!
Mad driving skills!
Welcome back, i miss your weekly vlog
It is scared scene on your honduras trip
I am with Raya on this. That would be too much for me.
LOVED THE VLOG GUYS. CANT WAIT TO SEE THE WEDDING VIDEO
Honduras is never uneventful.
Wow!!! Now that was SCARY!! Keep safe. Cheers from UK.
Oh my gosh I wasn't even in the bus with you and I'm so stressed. My prayers 🙏🏼 for a safe rest of your journey
Ahí estuve parado 9 horas en la protesta en Honduras
Louis your biceps looks pretty full,💪 would like to get a small insight on your training.
Welcome to Latin America,

I’ve said it before … never a dull moment 😂😂
Dang That's some scary stuff! Take care and be safe out there!! 👍💞💖💝💖💞👍
You'd do so well in South Africa, driving a mini bus taxi on the wrong side of the road😂😂😂. It's a thing here. Really enjoyed the episode. 👌🏾
I don't want to downplay your feelings, but I sit in the office all day long and always wish I had challenges like yours every once in a while. I guess it's a matter of perspective.
Shoot this was stressful for me to watch. I can imagine the stress on you and especially Raya. Safe travels!
Wow that was a packed 24 hours of stress, waiting and uncertainty! 🫣 So glad you made it safely eventually and excitedly awaiting the wedding week videos! ♥️😍

Love your channel. Just created one and so excited to share our adventures as well !
When you're driving past a fire the last thing you want in front of you is a petrol tanker!
