    Part 2 of my wild camping experience at Loch Lomond. Strolled along to the other side of the beach to enjoy a slightly different view. One of the lads down from me offered me a shot of his jetski which I did not turn down. Absolutely terrifying experience when he went above 23mph, but a wonderfully refreshing and unique one around that speed. The water was a wonderful temperature to paddle in and the air temperature and sun certainly added to it. Can't wait to visit this spot again.

      Thanks, Des. There were midges but a tolerable number that deet and a fire can't handle. Then a breeze appeared. Had to take a day off work from this trip. Very tiring.

      It's a superlight experience and handy with a tarp/tent configuration, but it's a pain in the ass to get into lol. Easy to put up and put by though! I liked changing my setup, good for my channel too as it helps people decide what they want to do.

    Cracking video mate and a beautiful spot would it be possible to park up and kayak to there from inversnaid hotel carpark?

    • @MontyOutdoors
      @MontyOutdoors  4 роки тому

      The Inversnaid car park is free and I've never had any issues parking there. I'd imagine for an experienced kayaker it would be doable. It's about 3km from Inversnaid to that spot so can't see it being an issue. You can just about make out Inversnaid in my video when I am swimming. I've got myself a kayak, but I've yet to use it. I need something to inflate it and fancy staying on that island at Loch Ard: Eileen Gorm?

    • @MontyOutdoors
      @MontyOutdoors  3 роки тому +1

      It wasn't a car engine, it was a Jet Ski. There were a few lads further up Nice guys. Although my intention was to be alone, their company was great. There wasn't anywhere nearby that I could go to.

      Yeah, I have an exceptionally thick Scottish accent that alienates my audience. Even Scottish people struggle haha.
      That's the Geertop inner. They used to sell it separately, but not anymore:

    What do you reckon about the Coyote 3? Just used my Jackal 3 at Loch Macaterick after you recommended parking at Stinchar Bridge this weekend, was well nice. Cheers for the info

    • @MontyOutdoors
      @MontyOutdoors  4 роки тому +1

      The Coyote 3 is an excellent tent. I used it in constant 60-65mph winds and sustained rainfall and it stood up. The video is actually on my insta. Hopefully this works: instagram.com/p/CAZ9tmFhroY/?igshid=3yrdy0rmvaex
      Very spacious, but heavy at around 4kg, but I love it. Outer pitch 1st too which is a bonus.
      Brilliant mate. How long was the walk and how good was the experience?

    • @dfgndfghdfghdfgh
      @dfgndfghdfghdfgh 4 роки тому +1

      @@MontyOutdoors was absolutely ruthless. Went from the car park up to the top of Cornish hill then top of Craigmasheenie then across all the bogs to the beach bit on Macaterick. Probably the hardest physical thing I've ever done, went with two mates one of who is military so he proper put us through our paces. Took 4 1/2 hours to do 6km so was pretty ruthless, burnt about 4500 cals with 20k steps. Thinking of going somewhere on the Scottish coast next. Funny thing is we were making jokes about thanking Monty for the information so you def had 3 fans traipsing round Galloway on Saturday singing your praises.

    • @MontyOutdoors
      @MontyOutdoors  4 роки тому +1

      @@dfgndfghdfghdfgh Fuck sake haha. It's easier had just followed the path from the Loch Doon side, but I have done a similar walk to the one you did, but that *only* last about 45 minutes.
      West coast... there's lots of beaches between Ayr and Stranraer. Google "Balcreuchan Port" and there's also a cave there called "Sawney Bean's Cave".
