When we parallelize the generators, the generator number 3 gives load too high deviation alarm. How we can solve this problem. I would be glad if you help.
How does the shaft generator work? Can it only be used when the main engine (and thus the vessel) is running at a specific speed, since the engine RPM is directly related to the frequency?
Most likely the ship has a variable pitch prop so while the ME RPM needs to be constsnt, it will still work the same way ultimately and the ship can traverse at any desired speed by varying prop pitch instead of ME rotation

If it’s way out of sync, you could effectively wreck something, since the machine tries to change speed in an instant to match the others, which it can’t do. May sever a shaft or coupling or mounting bolts or worse case wreck windings. That’s a no no. The automatic as well as manual operation may have protective relays supervising the operation and if it sees a condition not to spec, will block closing of the circuit breaker.

You have some leeway, have to read the specifications, if you close the sync breaker way out, you may do severe damage. Worse than blackout. The senior operators are trained in this practice.
When the generator number 3 is on alone, the voltage and amperage values are normal, but when we parallelize the other generators, the amperage values in the generator number 3 increase too much and load too high deviation alarm is given.
its because on auto synchronization load vary and due to this variation of load some alarma come. it will be automatically adjusted ..... by the way good observation 👍👍
The engine of the generator or generators you want to add load to has to be given more fuel. It doesn’t run faster but takes more of the load vs. the other generators on line at the time. Looks like the control marked with the word governor motor is what does it, at least in manual. If they have an automatic system there to do it fine or do it manually as auxiliary power demands change. I presume they have synchronous generators.
I changed the current transformers in generator number 3. I changed the syncronoscope. I changed the screen. I changed the cotroller. Unfortunately I couldn't find a solution. please help.

Why is the voltage around 260V? Isn't that quite high? I was expecting something around 230-250V (400V 3phase).
