How cool was it for the kids who WENT there and learned it , only to see Tom Hanks do it a year later in one of the best movies EVER .
This is such a wholesome story. I love it so much because that moment when his friend recognizes him in the movie is so special esp because it's because they both know this song... now that I know it came from his son.. even better! Love this BTS story.

Had the pleasure of meeting him while he was making The Money Pit. He was the sweetest. He gave me his autograph and stood there looking at a book that I had with me about Disneyland while I stood there star struck. It was so surreal. Yes, I know that actors are people, but after you've seen him in Splash...I'm just glad I was able to speak using coherent sentences.😉

I didn't see it in the cinema - watched it on VHS in the VCR. But I agree - they don't make films like they used to. I feel bad for kids now days. I feel blessed to have lived in that entertainment era. I'm 28 years old. You're not boring - You're reminiscing on the great past. Those were the good old days!
