"More magic" is a reference to an old story from the early days of computing. An engineer left the company, and his replacement noticed a switch on the front panel of the computer. it was labelled "Magic" and "More Magic", and was in the "Magic" position. He took the panel off to check it, and found that only one contact on the switch was connected, the wire went to somewhere on the motherboard, I forget the details. But being a single wire, The switch did nothing! It couldn't possibly do anything! After some discussion with colleagues, they decided to flip the switch. The computer instantly crashed. They flicked the switch back, booted it back up, flipped it, and it crashed again. Any time the switch was flicked from "Magic" to "More Magic", the computer would crash. Eventually they removed the wire and switch and brought the comuter back up.

I'm not sure, but it sounds like the other terminal of the switch may have been connected to the case, thus grounding it, if you connect certain parts of motherboards to ground it can cause instability and crashing

You have a pocket dimension, can pull and move things by telekinesis, destroy matter on distance, travel through time (one of the possible theories about bed respawn), create new things out of matter by, apparently, infusing it in a certain way and a lot of other stuff... So here's my question is it working it out based on character length, because if so not all characters are equal.
there are some really long characters out there in the unicode standard and while i'm pretty sure they don't work in minecraft, if there is a longer character it might be worth looking into it.

On bedrock if you name a world death.fell.accident.water some weird things happen. Everything is normal, but when you pause, you usually see the world name in the top right, exactly how you did it. But on this world, it says “%1$s fell out of the water”. A weird interaction I didn’t know could happen.
I would assume if you use the internal name for any death message the same thing will happen where the death message is displayed

I feel like since it didn't work with 1 million, the limit to trigger this is probably the full integer limit of characters, or a little over 2 billion, where the game then proceeds to read infinity, meaning you were likely not even 0.05% of the way to causing the death message with your 1 million B's that already were enough to overload the game. Nearly impossible indeed.
Tried it with 2.48 billion B, and disabled name rendering. It didn't work

"Magic" refers to the hex identifier in the beginning of a Minecraft multiplayer packet commonly set as "00ffff00fefefefefdfdfdfd12345678" which is a part of RakNet protocol. When the packet goes over the max transfer limit known as MTU, the packet queue in Minecraft will have its buffer overflow and the "magic" identifier gets shifted causing this error, resulting in the death. A reference in that "even more magic" that I doubt was meant to be understood by many.
Huh. I haven't looked at Minecraft's networking code, now I want to go take a look. It seems quite interesting.

It's only triggered when the server fails to send a death packet to the client, or vice versa. You might be able to send so much data that it takes too long to send and timeouts though, so this method might work. You would need to be connected to an external server though, the singleplayer internal one is much too fast to be able to use this method to trigger it.
