Our wedding film love story
How did you guys meet?
Met just before the pandemic - in March 2020. Met online. Had a lot of mutual friends. Had a 'virtual' relationship for first couple of months due to pandemic. After that lots of outdoor walks, before pandemic calmed down. Since then, bought and renovated a house together.
Tell me a bit about the two of you, what do you guys do? How do you spend your time?
Ellie is a teacher. Ryan works in lighting. Spend time together by sitting home with a nice meal / drink. Like going out for ‘date night’ for dinner/drinks. Enjoy seeing family. Listening to music together whilst cooking.
How did the proposal go down? (All the gushy details, I love this bit!)
Ryan bought the ring in June 2021. Same day we had our offer on our house accepted. Ryan went with his mum to pick the ring during work. Ellie was unaware.
August 2021. Went to Bude on holiday. Second day of holiday we went for a walk up the hills. Ryan had a bottle of prosecco in the rucksack (and of course the ring). Looking for a spot to sit and Ellie turns around and Ryan’s on one knee. First reaction was to say ‘are you joking’ before Ryan got the chance to say/ ask anything.
How did you choose your wedding venue(s)?
It’s local and we know what a beautiful church Lapworth Church is.
What sort of experience do you want your guests to have?
A fun and memorable one.
Can you describe some of the details and stylings, does your wedding have a theme?
Modern. With white/greenery. Decor planner described it as ‘enchanted forest’ theme.
What was the hardest decision during the planning?
Where to have the wedding based
What advice would you give to couples planning a wedding?
Try and make as many decisions between the two of you as too many other voices can confuse and prolong things.
