Now I kind of see why my teacher always pushes me to pay attention to the detail of the sheet music, whereas I tend to resist as I want to devote all my brain power just to getting the right notes. It’s why my playing might be “correct” but not yet a “pleasure” to listen to, if that makes any sense. Thanks Matthew for an interesting video. 👍
Really wonderful and detailed video! I know you explained so much, but I was wondering if one time you could just briefly touch on technique? That's what I'm struggling most with in my piano lessons and it's hard to find resources on YT for that specifically. Thanks and keep up the amazing videos, I'm learning so much from you! 😊
these are amazing! i didn’t have lessons the whole summer so this is refreshing my brain on musical concepts which aren’t overly complex or anything because you explained them well 😄
don't mean to be rude to him, but if you like classical and been playing for 5 years it is a crime to not have learned to read music at least basically
I been playing for 6 days and im learning to read music. Literally everyone tells you to read sheet music asap so its crazy he didn’t bother learning after 5 years.
It is lazy. Learning basic theory is very necessary to play any piece well and learn pieces well totally agree with you. He plays it okay but should be better by now.
lol I’ve been learning for 13 years, since I was 4. I’ve practice about an hour a day since I was in year 5. I just got around to reading music this month so… eh, sorry? I mean I love music but sight reading Mary had a little lamb is kind of tragic, if I could go back in time, waddiya think?
@@jeremypianofreestyle7210maybe your practice isnt good practice? I mean what did you practice back then… 15 mins of good practice, being focused and learning the essentials of how to play the piano is better than 1 hour of practicing something you dont even know the use when learning songs lol
Hello where can I send you the sheet of my composition ? I really want you to do a review of it I want to improve ! Thank you for taking the time for answering me mate
If you are going to play Chopin, learn theory at least! It’s almost an insult to the music not too. 5 years of playing classical to be lazy and not try and learn theory. There’s plenty of basic theory videos out there.

I was super disappointed you didn't act more surprised with the key change. I thought you were going to jump up from the piano. Lol...
Thanks Matt.
