This is hands down my favourite song of this year. It still gives me chills when I hear it. I'm so looking forward to seeing the staging next week - it sounds stunning.
Yes! Jamala has been my favorite ever since the Ukrainian national selection and now hearing that someone who hated the song now thinks it could challenge for the win. Go Ukraine!
Looking back, this was hands down your best evaluation/review video of this year's competition. You guys opened my mind and perfectly pointed out what made Jamala the clear winner. In the midst of manufactured pop and gimmicks, once in a while comes along an act with true emotional depth, aided by a tasteful presentation and powerful vocal... I was fully convinced.
By far the best entry and what a powerful lyrics. 1944 is also an important year for me as my country Iceland got indenpendancy from Denmark that year. Big kisses and love from Iceland and thank you wiwibloggs for great work :)
Ohhh, I wish I could see the full rehersal... I always loved this song, this was the first song from this eurovision that I heard, and I cry almost everytime I hear it, and i realy feel those emotions that Jamala wanted to share, and I am so grateful to her for revealing all this.
and bookmakers immediately reacted to Ukrainian staging - now Ukraine has climbed to No 3 on William Hill, right behind Russia (No 1) and France (No 2). Thank you, Jamala and your team, for a quality staging. Thank you, guys, for nice words.
There are so many new review-videos every day this week, and I watch most of them. Let me tell you: This is the one video that I enjoyed the most!!! Your ratings of the rehearsal were very well explained, and I also liked the little "emotional" remarks. Outstanding, please continue in that fashion!
I have discovered Jamala because of the contest and she has an amazing vocal and so glad I have discovered her work,, however I did not like her vocals in this song and not too keen on the song overall, although i agree with the sentiment and message so I was really glad that you think the shouty bits are softer and that the staging complements the message of the song. Hope she does well and I am sure she will be in the final .
Yes... This is song-wise, my winner... And now that staging is also very well, I can see this win the whole thing...Race between Russia and Ukraine (very nice!)...
I think it's very interesting that you all thought Serbia's interpretive dancer was classy yesterday - yet today it's referred to as "tacky". As for this song, it only finally clicked into place for me last week. I heard it and suddenly, I got it - but it did take me a few months to finally become a fan of the song. I'm interested to see how well this does.
I think there is difference in perception that the song will be getting among hard core Eurivision fans (all of us sitting and commenting on Wiwi instead of enjoying a sunny day outside) and the 200 million viewers who will watch the final (those who are enjoying a sunny day right now and are happily oblivious about any sort of rehearsals). Fans appreciate it as the know the story and had time to connect. The 200 million are at the mercy of their national commentators who might share something insightful or not. I think the message will be lost on 200 million. I would say it is a top 10, maybe top 5 but cannot be a winner for the reasons above.
Even i dont like this song, because It's not my coap of tea... BUT this will be in top 5. She is amazing..... Diffrent and uniqe. That wiwi gay in blue t-shirt he is sooooo boring.
Jamala go go and keel on live in1944 and let the rest of the world live in 2016 .... you had gave us to listen to an ugly sad song why don't you go home and sleep and let other live there life .....and don't forget 2016 .....
I'm so relieved that my favourite eurovision song ever has a great staging, I can't wait to see it on thursday!

+Justin Angelo Alvarez Forget about Russia, there are a lot of occupied land, and she is a lot a lot less than you see on the map.
Молодец, Джамала! Это вам не приторно сладкая попса.

You're right, the commentators have such power.
I come back here EVERY YEAR. People are still mad she won, but she 100% deserved it
is there any review from her performance? i can't find any video of her performance
William, the way you're narrating it...it's making me hyperventilate...damn...
Oh, William, how right you were on 04:59 ))))))))
Even i dont like this song, because It's not my coap of tea... BUT this will be in top 5. She is amazing..... Diffrent and uniqe. That wiwi gay in blue t-shirt he is sooooo boring.
