Weil, liebes Zweischaaf-Mädchen, Kerastase und Maybelline gerade auf Fortbildung amerikanisch kochen lernten. Viel Glück noch im Leben!

Famous Serbian rock band Riblja Corba used the main melody of this song to create a new one called "Gnjilane". It was released in 1996 and it has more prominent oriental vibe.

so, does ribljia corba know mani matter or from where did they know him?? this would be crazy. couldn't believe that a serbian rock band know mani matter?!? and maybe you could tell me some other serbian/croatian/bosnian bands. i really like riblja corba. and the other band i know and i like is vatreni poljubac.

XidiotX Well, I don't see anything unusual in the fact that a rock band from Serbia is familiar with Mani Matter. Back in 70's and 80's Serbia, having been a constituent part of Yugoslavia, was a communist state. However, it was a sort of "liberal communism". Yugoslavia wasn't behind the Iron Curtain as Poland, Romania, Bulgaria and the USSR were. In Yugoslavia it was very easy to find, order or buy LPs of many famous bands from the USA, England, Germany and so on. So, it's no wonder that members of Riblja Corba had heard of Mani Matter even then. As far as Yugoslav rock bands are concerned, there are plenty of them. Try these: Azra, Divlje jagode, Kerber, KUD Idijoti, Zabranjeno pusenje, Bjesovi, Atomsko skloniste, Bombarder, Osmi putnik, Faust, Osvajaci, Goblini... This list could go on and on and on :D
