I f’ing love how the SH devs have the capacity to make the darkest and depressing games ever and then counteract the deep dispair with absolute sillyness in their joke endings
In the game Mystycal Ninja (also Konami game), everyone also sings the song that plays near the end when you call Impact (your giant robot kind of like the Rangers' Megazord) to fight the last boss.
I don't know if anybody has brought this up yet, but the Silent Hill wiki now says the UFO ending requires 31 monsters killed in order to get it. I think they fixed it.
I don't even know Silent Hill 3 (sorry) but Punchy has made this speedrun so entertaining that I watched the entire video without noticing time has passed that quick! Really amazing commentary and personality, love this video so much.
18:18 Just like last time Punchy is one of the few runners that actually takes their hands of the controller and looks into the camera to thank the audience. What a hero.
I didn't think it would be possible for me to enjoy this more than Punchy's Silent Hill 2 run from AGDQ. After copious eye lasers and a joyous sing along, I have learned the error of my ways.

I am genuinely surprised there are not more views and comments here! This was a fun run with a fun, weird weapon, to get to a fun, weird ending! With fun commentary from the runner and a good, positive attitude! Loved it!
I "Watched" this live, but I'm in the UK, and didn't realise the schedule had shifted a bit, so I missed most of it by intermittently falling asleep, so It's awesome to see it fully now. Also, always a pleasure to watch Punchy run
Watching this a month late. SH3 is one of my favorite games of all time and I'm actually trying to get through it on Windows 10 right now. This is my first Punchy speedrun but I love it. Here's hoping that more games will be made in the spirit of the Silent Hill series by talented devs in the future, now that Konami has killed Team Silent.
I watched this live, and it was just so awesome that the almost 2 day wait to get this uploaded is utterly heartbreaking, because I want to watch it again! But here we are now, and I'm still in love with it. Punchy, my man! Great, entertaining run and that ending was awesome. Huge props to you, my dude!
I have the soundtrack for this game still somewhere, cuz I got lucky buying a Deluxe/Special edition with the soundtrack from Gamestop waaaay back when. Loved this run.
I remember watching it live on twitch and caught me singing along. And now I can't get the song out of my head and sing it at least twice a day. Everywhere. Yes, everywhere.
I've never played any Silent Hill game. I don't even know how to comprehend the Silent Hill song at the end but omfg I need it in my life like I never knew. Punchy is a lord.
remember playing this a decade ago and i didn't know about that sexy beam and all. I played it midnight to get the best atmosphere and it was hard too with all those weird angles and sometimes puzzle that makes no sense but still a great game
My favorite of the Silent Hill games, thank you for this. I always aspired to get the funny endings in these games, but nothing will ever beat the doggo ending in SH2
I can't believe how much my nerves have hardened since playing this game. At 11-12 I used to be able to BARELY make it through the mall part and the subway was so frightening, with monster noises coming only from the subway I had to enter lol. Then at 23 I just finished Silent Hill 1 which is also pretty frightful and it was nothing to me lol
I was actually really sad to have had this happen to me for my Silent Hill marathon. Long story short, I found it really difficult to handle Silent Hill 2 during my preteen years, and in my early 20s, I finally collected the couple entries I didn't own, and wanted to start a marathon as I was only really familiar with 2 and 4, dabbled a bit in most of the others before giving up due to intense fear, and had never even played the first or its remake. It took me nearly six years to muster up the courage to finally start the marathon, and the games disappointingly only managed to heighten my pulse just a bit. They were still scary and got me good at certain points, but the times of being absolutely terrified to the point where I couldn't even go back to some of them at all were long gone. I was so upset to have put them off for so long because I was too scared to start them, only to have had those years harden me to the point where most of the experience was regrettably lost.
Punchy is awesome! oh how I would love to be there and sing along :D its amazing how games can make people connect, and my deeepest respect for all the heroes at silent team for creating something that has become a part of our lives
Something I've learned about speedrunners using their glitches and tricks that aren't guaranteed and depend on variables... They always go wrong during official speedrun broadcasts, just to spite them.
They tend to have that effect. At least you got revenge on it by watching it played by the best runner. Silent Hill games (before they got shitcanned) almost always have that funny ending.
Every run that involves Punchy in any capacity is very entertaining for me. He's so knowledgeable and funny.
He is basically a one man speed run crew.
I agree, do you know where he is from by any chance?
@@voodude8986 He's from London, but doesn't live there at the moment, but still England
Gotta give credit to his wonderful couch as well! Maxy, Ecdycis and Plywood with Punchy basically lit every run to which they're all in it!
I f’ing love how the SH devs have the capacity to make the darkest and depressing games ever and then counteract the deep dispair with absolute sillyness in their joke endings
Team Silent was truly irreplaceable
Tragedy and comedy are two sides of the same coin.
Oh you know, just a speedrun of a horror game that ends in a huge singalong
Punchy and crew singing the Silent Hill Song at the end was the absolute BEST!
In the game Mystycal Ninja (also Konami game), everyone also sings the song that plays near the end when you call Impact (your giant robot kind of like the Rangers' Megazord) to fight the last boss.
As someone who's never actually seen the UFO ending for this game, the end of the run was pure joy. Great job with the whole trilogy, Punchy!
Yeah next year he needs to make it the full quadrilogy
I never expected a Silent Hill run to end in a singalong. But there we are. It's as wonderful as it sounds.
I don't know if anybody has brought this up yet, but the Silent Hill wiki now says the UFO ending requires 31 monsters killed in order to get it. I think they fixed it.
Punchy is literally the king of making runs non stop entertaining.
ALWAYS loving Punchy and I hope he is at every GDQ. My favorite speedrunner ever
I don't even know Silent Hill 3 (sorry) but Punchy has made this speedrun so entertaining that I watched the entire video without noticing time has passed that quick!
Really amazing commentary and personality, love this video so much.
27:10 Craziest moment at SGDQ2019
18:18 Just like last time Punchy is one of the few runners that actually takes their hands of the controller and looks into the camera to thank the audience.
What a hero.
6:00 "月に代わってお仕置きよ!" gotta love that Sailor Moon reference.
So THAT's what he was saying LOL. I laughed so hard without ever knowing what the heck he just said.
@@Manly-Tears In the name of the Moon, I will punish you!

The Silent hill song with American accompaniment, observe.

... i remember punchy mentioning he’d be willing to embarrass himself singing the ending song when he submitted the run, but i was still not ready.
Punchy, the most charismatic and sassy Silent Hill Speedrun Extraordinaire, complete with Hello Kitty bandaid!? すごい!
Punchy's charisma is at least an 18.
after that run. +5 more
Probably a 20
What's his dump stat then?
Wjth that singing. He must be a bard
multiply this helium voice
This man is awesome
What a RUN!! What a COUCH!! What an ENDING!! ... WHAT THE HELL DID I WATCH?!?!?!
You should check out his silent hill 1 run on gdq
What a MANSION! Wait wrong thing
This is the most nostalgic and the most enjoyable speedrun I've ever watched in my life
5:59 Punchy goes full weeb and I am HERE for it. Genuinely one of the funniest runners I've seen ever.
日本語成分が濃い! Thank you Punchy!! Many Japanese must have enjoyed and will enjoy this run!
One of the best moments on the Games Done Quick ever
I really wish there was a way to show the singalong at the end of this to Team Silent.
I'm so glad they record vods and upload soon, bc my internet cut out at the beginning of this run and i couldn't watch live.
Punchy is always a blast to watch at GDQ! ^.^
I "Watched" this live, but I'm in the UK, and didn't realise the schedule had shifted a bit, so I missed most of it by intermittently falling asleep, so It's awesome to see it fully now. Also, always a pleasure to watch Punchy run
Right there with you. I think every year I fall asleep during the runs I want to see the most. 😆
More Silent Hill runs by Punchy at GDQ? I'm in.
There is a silent hill 4, so maybe AGDQ 2020
@@C0DW1TH5ANDEL5 I dont think he runs 4 at least not atm.
Punchy is honestly the funniest speed runner and i wish he got more games to play
True legend of GDQ
This run was hilarious, pretty sure punchy speed runs his own commentary
I love how Punchy did this run.... And he heated up the crowd with that. I love to see this energy at every agdq and sgdq. ❤️
Definitely one of the best runs on this channel.
Speed running "Silent Hill 3" with a "Hello Kitty" band aid on his hand, LIKE A BOSS!
Punchy is the best gdq runner so funny to watch and that ending was peak !!
Watching this a month late. SH3 is one of my favorite games of all time and I'm actually trying to get through it on Windows 10 right now. This is my first Punchy speedrun but I love it. This is the first time I've ever seen Punchy in my life. He's fucking hilarious. I will definitely watch him more.
I thought the dog ending in silent hill 2 was the most bizarre thing I'd ever see at a GDQ event. Words cannot describe how wrong I was.
Awesome as always
I adore Punchy, i follow his youtube and watch every run video he puts out hes so fun
Legend has it that if you say punchy 3 times in the mirror he will appear and speedrun all your games :)
All hail punchy!!!!!
Punchy + Plus Silent Hill 3 + UFO Ending + Miku = Absolute Beauty!
Punchy needs to come every year and play a silent hill game, i dont care!
Covid gdq gets me depressed so I came back here to remember the good times.
This was AMAZING to watch!!! Thank you guys for being so awesome!
I have the soundtrack for this game still somewhere, cuz I got lucky buying a Deluxe/Special edition with the soundtrack from Gamestop waaaay back when. Loved this run.
Punchy is always super entertaining.
25:00 Lets party! Dude I wish I was there. Well played punchy, gdq and the crowd. Yeah what a crowd
Silent Hill 3 is a horror game, in case you have forgotten.
What an amazing runner
I remember watching it live on twitch and caught me singing along. And now I can't get the song out of my head and sing it at least twice a day. Everywhere. Yes, everywhere.
Punchy is a born entertainer XD
And i love him for his chaotic nature
I've never played any Silent Hill game. I don't even know how to comprehend the Silent Hill song at the end but omfg I need it in my life like I never knew. Punchy is a lord.
The music of the Silent Hill series is amazing! The soundtracks are actually good enough to listen to on their own. Definitely worth checking out.
I look forward to punchy ever gdq.
This is the most wholesome GDQ Ending Of all time
remember playing this a decade ago and i didn't know about that sexy beam and all. I played it midnight to get the best atmosphere and it was hard too with all those weird angles and sometimes puzzle that makes no sense but still a great game
Likes for Punchy - always good seeing him run a run
Holy shit, this year's GDQ is awesome!
My favorite of the Silent Hill games, thank you for this. I always aspired to get the funny endings in these games, but nothing will ever beat the doggo ending in SH2
I did not know what to expect with “UFO Ending”…
It was definitely not this, and I couldn’t be more delighted.
Update: The wiki has been corrected to say 31 enemies
The run time was SO close to the estimate. I don't think I've ever seen it get that close, my god. Punchy is downright amazing.
Playing this game gave me nightmares when I was younger. Now I play it to relax lol.
I was actually really sad to have had this happen to me for my Silent Hill marathon. Punchy's runs are always top form!
My life has been so enriched.
That karaoke at the end is the best thing I’ve ever seen at GDQ
Punchy is awesome! oh how I would love to be there and sing along :D its amazing how games can make people connect, and my deeepest respect for all the heroes at silent team for creating something that has become a part of our lives
Great run and great commentary!!
One of the better runs. Very funny.
Yep just what i needed right now.
love this guys vibe
This is the best Speedrun today :D
Punchy is by far one of my favorite runners just cus he is one of the funnier ones.
Best audience
Punchy needs a run every single gdq.
The fact that this game did not get an HD Steam release by now is a crime against humanity.
I’ve never heard of Punchi before.
I’m happy I learned about him though. Charismatic dude! Seems nice as hell
This was amazing. Love it
Awesome run as always Punchi! Always a treat to see you at GDQ :)
4:27 well that explains why only one health drink and ammo box was spawning for me on Normal in several locations when it's supposed to be 2.
Best run
26:25 - This ending reminds me of Monty Python's "Always look on the bright side of life" 🤣🤣🤣
lovely guy
I hope this guy has a twitch or youtube i can follow immediately.
Bloody legends. The lot of ya.
this punchy guy is hilarious AF
best credits ever
I love punchy so much!
shout out to the hatsune miku plush on the couch
PUNCHY!
Something I've learned about speedrunners using their glitches and tricks that aren't guaranteed and depend on variables...
They always go wrong during official speedrun broadcasts, just to spite them.
Those chickens were so scary when I was little.
I really enjoyed counting along with the kills just to be sure it was legit.
Awesome game awesome runner 😁
Game Saved!!
Amazing!
WTF is this??? UFO ENDING? I literally cried watching my brother play this nightmare of a game
They tend to have that effect. At least you got revenge on it by watching it played by the best runner. Silent Hill games (before they got shitcanned) almost always have that funny ending.
