- When you hear this during the briefing, you know things are getting serious! By the way, I think Mobius One (although legendary) is a bit of an overrated character in the Ace Combat series. I know that he turned the tide of whole war almost by himself, but you have to remember that 10 years before him, Cipher did the same thing. And on top of that, he shot down a fucking airborne fortress. And destroyed a tower that fired lasers. Just saying.

In fairness, don't forget that Mobius 1 destroyed an entire carrier battle group, a state-of-the-art fleet specifically designed to shoot down *cruise missiles* in defense of the carrier, let alone airplanes, all by himself. That's almost more impressive than taking out a superweapon.

People also seem to forget that Mobius 1 saved the world from an impending apocalyptic grade meteor shower thanks to the megalith facility. That and single handedly taking down a planetary defense network capable of vaporizing asteroids put's him in at #1 in my book.
True, this weapon was essentially NASA's DART mission but it was going to be used to redirect asteroids at the Usean continent

The enemy GHQ is located beneath a landfill on the coast of their capital, Farbanti. Bring it under control to end this war once and for all.
Our troops will enter via the Silver Bridge to the Southeast, and the flooded city to the South. You must attack all enemy forces and support our troops.
Enemy tank forces are also closing in from the North. Destroy Johnson Memorial Bridge to stop them from joining forces from the enemy GHQ.
We know that Megalith is being developed as we speak. The enemy must be prevented from using it as a last ditch effort.

I find this theme the most catchy and the most blood-pumping out of all the briefing themes in the franchise. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE AC5's briefing theme, but this upbeat version of the first briefing really made me bang my head along with the beat when I first heard it.
God, how I wish this theme was included to the Infinity...
EDIT: This song is ACTUALLY in the Infinity! It plays on mission 6, and prolly will continue onwards 'till like... the second half's end? When I heard this song playing during the briefing, I shit you not, I almost jizzed at the awesomeness.
Bottom line is: Ace Combat Infinity, PLAY IT. NOW.

Cipher may have destroyed a tower that fires lasers, but compared to Stonehenge, lasers on that mission where you destroy Excalibur are easy to dodge. If you're flying at say 10,000 feet, and your AWACS says there's 10 seconds left until the salvo fired by Stonehenge rips across the sky, you have to light the burners and go into a power dive and get below 2000 feet. I can't tell you the number of times I've made it below 2000 feet with 1 second to spare. And you have to fly at terrain-hugging altitude to stay clear of the shock waves. Also, super weapons aside, lets not forget that for most of the war, Cipher had a wingman. He only flew without a wingman on the last mission. Möbius 1 always flew without a wingman. Also there's popular speculation that Möbius 1 could be Cipher. The default paint scheme for the F-15C in Ace combat 04 is almost completely identical to the paint scheme on Cipher's F-15. Which might explain why Möbius 1 flew without a wingman. After Pixy betrayed Cipher, and PJ gave his life to protect him from a laser fired by Pixy, he didn't want to feel betrayal or loss again. Which is why, after he disappeared after the Belkan War, he reappeared in Usea, under a new codename, and started kicking ass as Möbius 1. That seems the most plausible theory about their identities to me

But I have yet to see any pilot be canonnically described as: "The equivalent of an entire fighter squadron." - Ace Combat 5, Operation Katina (aka Arcade Mode). Blaze had Wardog/Razgriz with him and Cipher had Galm Team. Mobius Squadron only came into effect during the final stages of the war. And you forget that he also took out Erusea's "Invincible Fleet", Stonehenge, Yellow Squadron, and Megalith.

Omega11, arguably the luckiest and unluckiest pilot in all of ISAF. Get gets shot down in every mission yet manages to survive each time.

When I heard this for the first time. I was soooooo hyped since I knew I was doing something great. I felt special. And this game does an amazing job making you feel special :D Mobius 1 would always be my favorite AC pilot of all time :D

Mobius 1 will always be the best Super Ace from Ace Combat because he had no wingman except for Megalith and did not lose even one, Gryphus 1 lost all his wingmans because of Gleipnir, which is les powerful than Megalith, Galm 1 when lost his wingman he needed a replacemant, furthermore Galm Squadron always had PJ's help, Mobius 1 was hero in Ace Combat 4 and 5, he destroyed four Super planes piloted by Yellows and Katina Operation, which Gryphus 1 did avoid shooting down Alect before Fenrir, Galm 1 couldn't scape from Pixy's attack so PJ did sacrifice for him, Operation Katina has time limit, so that means Mobius 1 destroyed 4 Yellows X-02 faster than Galm 1 destroyed 1 Pixy Morgan, Aurelia needed two Super Aces, Falco 1 and Gryphus 1 to win, Scarface 1 saved USEA twice, but had wingman's support, after Ace Combat 4 the player aways had more planes to help, but Mobius1 flew some missions 100% alone while Galm 1, Gryphus 1 Wardog 1 and Garuda 1 lost their wingmans, Garuda 1 had the biggest rank from Ace Combat because he commanded everything, but never flew alone, that is why Mobius 1 is the best of the best
Boi, you're trying ultra hard. Mobius One truly is the OG legend, but, keep in mind:
Gryphus One canonically survives a completely unannounced SWBM attack by Glephnir in a F-4E, which is damn impressive. Mobius One always had advance warning to attack. Furthermore, Glephnir is arguably stronger than Stonehenge because Stonehenge has a >2000ft attack, while Glephnir's Shock Cannon and SWBM allow an all-altitude attack.
In Ace Combat 04, Mobius One never destroys any super planes. If you're referring to Ace Combat 5, that's cool and all, but X-02s are merely regular aircraft with incredible maneuverability. Compare that to Cipher's battle with Pixy like you did. The ADFX-02 has the capability to equip all three functions of laser, burst missiles, and upgraded ECM at once, while the ADFX-01 can only equip one and has a normal ECMP.
Mobius One has like fifteen wingmen in Megalith. That's way more than the one wingman you seemed to keep complaining about in Ace Combat Zero.
Your argument about Operation Katina's time limit is invalid because all Ace Combat missions have time limits as well. Also consider that the AI for the X-02s in AC5 are noticeably easier, even in level 7D, as compared to Pixy in Mission 18M.
Gryphus One shooting down Alert Squadron before they pilot Fenrir in one possible play through is only one possible outcome. If you went for the microwave weapons first, Alect Squadron does pilot the Fenrirs. You can't just selectively decide which route is canonical. Furthermore, even the normal AI for Fenrir (not the Alect Squadron) are comparable to ace AIs, and the optical camouflage they have makes the fight extremely tough. Fenrir is also more broken than the X-02, with better machine guns, the capability to carry shock wave missiles, microwave weapons, and optical camouflage. Gryphus One arguably accomplished a harder task than Mobius One in that case.
Since I've played through AC04, AC5, ACZ, AC6, and ACX multiple times, of course on Ace mode, over a time span of 12 years, I do think I'm qualified to pass judgement here. Sorry to say this, but you're being a tryhard fanboy for Mobius One. I believe Mobius One is truly amazing, but other protagonist aces have their merits as well, something that you seem to ignore in favor of admittedly, the OG ace in Ace Combat for me.
Sorry to write this: but I still play Ace Combat 1(Air Combat), Ace Combat 2, Ace Combat 3 Japanese version(which is not valid because the character Nemo s actually a BOT on a fictional computer world created by Professor Simon and his job was to show him the possibilities of the future), Ace Combat 4, Ace Combat 5, Ace Combat Zero, Ace Combat X, Ace Combat Advance, Ace Combat Nothern Wings, Ace Combat 6, Ace Combat Xi, Ace Combat X: Mobius 1 destroyed the Invincible Fleet with a F-4, survived the Stonehenge attacks flying inside a ravine being attacked with nowhere to go and Stonehenge is stronger than the Gleipnir because it has an attack range of almost the entire mainland, the shock cannon can attack on low altitude, but the Gleipnir turns upside down to attack in high altitude reversing the situation, the weakpoint is low or high altitude (otherwise it would be impossible for the player to dodge the attacks,), Gryphus 1 actually finished what Falco 1 had started before him which was also called the Southern Crossm that is why Gryphus 1 emblem is almost the same as Gryphus 1(though Ace Combat Xi came after Ace Combat X), Ace Combat Zero: even if Pixy has a better plane he was not 5 pilots, Yellow 13 was better than Pixy, had better reputation and outsdanding flying and used the Cobra manauver making him harder to shoot down than Pixy, Pixy had better plane, weapons and etc, but Moubius 1 could have dodged the attack while Galm 1 couldn't (controls are locked after Galm 1 gets out of the tunnel), Mobius 1 had 8 wingmen in Megalith, from game: Mobius 2 on standby, Mobius 3 through 7 on standby, Mobius 8 on standby, Ace Combat 5: my argument about operation Katina time limit is valid because Air Combat and Ace Combat 2 had fuel limit, when the fuel was over the result was failure (fuel+time) and Ace Combat 4 had time limit as well as Ace Combat 5, but the Ace Combat 5 Arcade is way tougher because time limit is short, that is why shoot down the Yellows is an easier job, Ace Combat X: Crux says in the briefing: If you succeed in destroying the facility, you should be able to handle Fenrir just like any other fighter. Alect Squadron was not feared much as Yellow Squadron and any pilot can shoot down Alect pilots with average plane or with Fenrir without camuflage, in these stuations Gryphus 1 did not shoot down all enemies, this is the proof that Yellow pilots are better than Alect, Gryphus 1 also had better fighter equipped with Defensive Aids System, more powerful engines (Ace Combat X planes are faster than Ace Combat 4), so arguably accomplished a harder task than Gryphus in the entire game, Ace Combat 6: before Ace Combat 6 most of the wingmen seems to be useless, but in Ace Combat 6 the bots destroys more than half of enemy forces, for last: for Namco Mobius 1 is not just a hero, is a symbol of a new generation and was meant to be (and is) the best of all times, Mobius is a 3-D strip and being 3 dimensional is the insignia for a pilot that think and act in 3 dimensions, Mobius 1 is a hero at Ace Combat 4 and 5, his paint scheme can be unlocked in almost every Ace Combat Series game after Ace Combat 4, Ace Combat X might be inspired in Ace Combat 4 as Ace Combat X looks like a lot Ace Combat 4, Ace Combat 4 has also a futuristic menu, briefing and briefing map and Ace Combat Infinity is just like Ace Combat 4 and is full of references to Ace Combat such as names and playlist

You are so wrong and not taking me seriously, also I did modify games in here, you are just an average player ,by the way I don't know exactly how Kestrel survives because it does not make any sense, but Kestrel's missions always ends in failure before the Razgriz, it is just a survivor ship, and the other carriers sunk in the wrong order, and Mobius 1 uses the F-4 in the first 6 missions, time is not infinite in Operation Katina, plus Blaze did solve the mistery behind the war with his team which makes Ace Combat 5 the best story of all times, and Yellow 13 does the Cobra which is an ace manauver while Pixy can not do anything like that, not even with his super plane, it takes less time to shoot down Pixy than Yellow 13,actually the player do most of the work because until Ace Combat 6 a bot is almost useless and Yellow 13 had better abilities with flying, it is said by the storyteller, plus Ace Combat Assault Horizon is far more advanced than the others before, plus in the story Cipher is not quite famous by himself until Pixy leaves him, everybody knows the Galm Team (just like The Demons Of Razgriz and Garuda Team), plus the paint scheme is actually something that is used to be recognized, such as real fighter pilots had their own and were feared by them, you should be wise and not write something so offensive like that, as I know I am right if you don't have anything rational to write, just do not reply
You are lower than average than, you just play and has poor and wrong knowledge about Ace Combat series, you never translated a game, fixed a console, nor knows how these games works, never played Air Combat (Ace Combat 1), Air Combat 22, AC2, AC3 Uncut Version, AC Xi, or Ace Combat Nothern Wings, I did translate Ace Combat Games and still play the original PS1 for years and THAT IS AVERAGE? It is rumoured that Cipher (or Galm 1) is Mobius 1 in earlier years. He fought as a mercenary but then returned to his home land when he was older. I personally like to believe they were the same person.
Frank Pritchard i think you're right as there is a little Easter egg in Ace Combat zero on the FA-22A's soldier skin as it represents Mobius 1 and also the fact that the continent Erusea is in may be in the same world as Ace Combat Zero

Whoever said that the F-22 would suck without stealth is wrong. The F-22 is still able to outperform any RL aircraft.
Stealth makes it so that it can kill 6 enemies without being seen or heard first. Whereas an F-16 would be spotted 100 miles away.
RCGeek1 People seem to forget that while enemy fighters wouldn't be able to detect the F-22 itself, they would be able to detect the missiles on their radar, no matter how fast the missiles are going (There's this thing called a threat warning alarm that goes off when a missile is headed for the plane.) So they'd be able to activate jamming equipment, eject chaff (metal strips designed to create false radar returns to shake off radar-guided missiles) or flares (create false heat signatures to confuse heat-seekers) and perform evasive maneuvers to avoid the missiles. Likewise, even though an F-16 would be spotted on radar miles away, it could deploy countermeasures against enemy missiles. Or it could fly in the terrain mask to avoid ground-based radar systems.
Other than the stuff I already knew, you basically affirmed my point. Other than they could see the shots coming. Which is why it should close to very close range before making a peep, as it will do.
I read the description and I have two movies to recommend to the uploader if he is reading this, iron eagle(for a good, if cheesy, fighter jet movie), and mad max fury road (for a good movie, period.) 95 percent of the crashes and explosions in mad max fury road are done with real cars and pyrotechnic devices, the flame is admittedly digitally recolored a little bit, but they actually did blow up a real tanker truck for that shot near the end of the film.

IMHO, Stonehenge was a lot harder to destroy than Excalibur, or any airborne fortress.
Bombs make short work of either. Excalibur was super duper hyped up, to the point of being almost dumb. It was attacking on a radial pattern, on a given trajectory towards your airplane, so as long as you were in a different sector on the 'circle' within 5 seconds, you were fine.
That's because Stonehenge was the pinnacle of air superiority super-weapons. The ability to destroy everything above two thousand feet (in terms of how high you are off the ground) is absolutely terrifying, not to mention incredibly powerful. Though things like the SOLG and Excalibur were very dangerous, the absolute destruction fo Stonehenge sets it apart.
The Stonehenge cannons were precision guided via powerful computers, and I assume they would either Semi-Actively home their shots, or they would fire hypersonic railgun rounds on a ballistic trajectory in the vicinity of your airplane, sometimes missing.
Yes, that is terrifying, especially the shock-wave. You can almost feel the terror of your fellow ISAF pilots as you tuck your tail between your legs and run.

Yeah. Though, i have only played ace combat 4, 6 and assault horizon. in 4 Mobius 1 had allied fighters that almost did anything leaving you to do most of the work, in 6 Garuda 1 had a wingman and a squad that follows him and support him with great support. Still the missions garuda 1 was put in were massive so it work explain the support. so in a way, mobius 1 was almost 'lone-wolf' out there. I can't say the same for Gyrphus 1 since i dont even know what game he is in or what he did.

The ISAF won't be in Ace Combat Infinity. It takes place in the real world.
Cipher? Thats the Pilot from the first pair of games isn't it? and Perhaps Hardest unlockable/shoot down Hidden ACE plane through most rest of the series.

Any chance of a high quality download of the image you used? Not sure if you made it but I can't find it anywhere. I'd be pretty happy if I could plaster that bad boy on my desktop.
there is high quality images on google. just look up ISAF with the largest image size setting set in the advanced settings
I did and there was only up to 720p available. I gave the image a larger background for 1080p support and it came out pretty well.

Gryphus 1 is a filler character. lol jk xD He is awesome too but I still think Cipher is better, in fact no, instead of comparing them I would rather see the two flying together. Now Garuda One is a whole different story, he had a whole fighter wing giving him support during most missions. I mean, he is good, but it's hard to decide when you have 20 aircraft doing half job for you.
