I swear 1:41 with the scream of a jet engine zooming by in the middle with a plane exploding one is one of the prettiest sounds any pilot can ever hear. It sets my heart a flutter. You actually feel like your flying for something the people really looking up at you relying on you. Maybe I'm crazy but man is it pretty
Ah fuck I'm getting nostalgic... Ace Combat Zero is the best game I can think of... Better than any of current games. Not just because I like the game itself but it has deep and meaningful stories.. Countless foreshadowing and allusions. For example Sudentor is derived from Sudetenland which was in Czechoslovakia and just like Ace Combat's Sudentor had Grunder Industries for arms manufacture, Sudetenland had Skoda Arms Factory. Round table has to do with King Arthur's story and it is interesting to see that the laser weapon is called the Excalibur, the sword that King Arthur used. It is also remarkable to see that Cipher is referred as the Demon 'Lord' on the Round Table which (in terms of table itself, not B7R) was designed to accomodated people, without showing their position and ranks. And you can see Pixy's other wing is on smoke at the last mission. Since Pixy had lost one wing but managed to land safely before, it probably means Pixy has now lost both his wings.. Man.. What a great game!
I think that was the point. In another game, this heroic triumph would be the climax of the game as you kick the invaders out of the country and send them packing. In Zero, this is just the final point where it is unambiguous who is good and evil, and you're flying on the heroes. After all, following this... the war gets /messy/ as the allied forces invade Belka.
I apsolutely love this melody. Call it a leitmotif maybe. Here it sounds uplifting and hopeful, kind of like Liberation of Gracemeria. Then later in the game this same melody works just as well with the increasingly chaotic and confused nature of the conflict.
You know, I think what's best about this is that it honestly feels like it would be the finale of another Ace Combat game, or at least the climax (see Liberation of Gracemeria). The heroic triumph... because this is the last part of the Belkan War where the sides weren't ambiguous in who is righteous and who is evil. After this, as the allied nations invaded Belka, it all became muddy until we got to Hoffnung. But here, in Diapason, even the hardened mercenary war criminal is flying heroically to end an occupation.
Oscar Reyes this might be true but i think cipher is blaze i mean think about it for a sec.zero took part before ac5 (timelinewise) and cipher had disappeard when the war ended.now if the razgriz theory is correct then there is a chance might actually be cipher
+TheXbites Nah can't be, he was called "Kid" multiple times, although that may not say much, but he was also mentioned to be as young as most of his squadron. Could be wrong, but it's very unlikely.
In the end, we are all put here on this earth for a reason, and a gift to fulfill it with. The Belkans have seen it fit to deprive us of the freedom to seek out that reason.
If you can fight, fight. A molotov, a sword, a rifle; it doesn't matter. If you are a musician, play your music louder than you ever have before. Let the belkies know that they ain't welcome here anymore If you are a medical professional, give some of your time and energy to keep our newly-minted army on it's feet. We need it. Long live Ustio! All
"You hear those people screaming for freedom? That's where we come in!" - Larry "Solo Wing Pixy" Foulke.
sweet

"BELKANS GET OUT! GET OUT OF OUR CITY!"
"Yo Buddy, you've got everyone fired up and believing in miracles"
-solo wing
"Take control of the AA guns! Give Galm Team the support they need!"
"Ring the bell! Ring the bell of Freedom!"
BONG! BONG! BONG! BONG! BONG! BONG!
RING IT LOUDER!!!!
"Do you Hear them Cipher?"
Taurus91 "I sure do, Pixy! We won't rest until Belka is pushed out!"
"Galm 1, Fox Two!"
+Lennart Kuiper "You damn belkans! Get the hell out of our city!!"
As much as I love the game and this being my second favorite in the soundtrack, I felt this was more like a final mission song rather than mid-game

THE BELKANS ARE RUNNING!!
+razgriz 107 I always wondered how would it be if Cipher, Blaze, Mobius 1 and Talisman flew together as one squadron.
"RING IT!!!! RING THE BELL!!!!! RING IT LOUDER!!!!!!!"
Sends a chill down my back when I hear that.
We've gotta take back the city! We have to take things into our own hands!
Two people gave it thumbs down? I think Gelb squadron was here.....
+Solo Wing Pixy Nice one Galm 2
+Solo Wing Pixy Now there's three...I blame you, Pixy
+Solo Wing Pixy and the base commander in that ch47
+golddragon1 hahahah yea :) but then again, he was a deserter so I had the urge to shoot him down regardless of the ace type I was acheiving :D
Solo Wing Pixy i never noticed him until i replayed that mission ;-;
Needs more views.
Seriously, this is one of the best pieces of music in the game.
I love this mission.

"Ustio mercenaries, huh? We owe you one! Thanks!" A very thankful trooper, indeed.
Compared to the other ones in the "Mayhem" mission... -.-
Waaait, you mean Inferno? Or you mean the Osean warmongers over B7R?
Mayhem was the B7R mission right^^
I meant the "Inferno" yeah ^^
Sorry I got the names mixed up^^
And after this mission and a couple other missions you get The Inferno. How ironic.

My he people rising up in the background makes this mission all the better.
Cipher kicks blaze's ass....that's all

TheXbites Maybe, so I prefer ACZ than AC5
+TheXbites Nah can't be, he was called "Kid" multiple times, although that may not say much, but he was also mentioned to be as young as most of his squadron. Could be wrong, but it's very unlikely.
+Cryptyx Maybe he signed up for it?
But Cipher is a mercenary so he's not serving them.
