Spike yes this is in open G capo 4th, which is how keef has played it since early on live versions. tumbling dice and street fighting man are also open G capo 4th. another great channel to check out is ‘James James’. he does a bunch of great stones vids also.
ziggy pop very much agree. that’s in open E, a tight tuning that’s tough on guitars. there’s really no way to replicate that intro in another tuning. that’s why it fell by the wayside long ago. keef’s all about open G, a great tuning for performing live.
Agree with you,they have a 1000 guitars,two guitars in open E ,maybe the reason is a Jagger,the tune is llitle bit down in open e and it' s not confortable for the singer
