The icon just indicate if you can transform and the number of transformations available. The actual ressource you use to transform is the big number on the left, the same you use to go in sparking mode or using the skills, hence why you were "losing transformation stocks". All the characters are using this ressource to transform.
Blue Skills with a number take transformation stock, yellow skills with bars underneath take Ki. Edit: Double checked, and this is exactly how it worked in BT3. It's called the Blast Gauge, and some of the skills use that instead of Ki. Edit 2: I think you've confused the little circle with the number on it with the transformation gauge. Transformations use the skill meter, the little circle just shows you how many transformations you have access to with the amount of meter you have.

When they said only 8 characters for the story mode, i was a bit disappointed, but when they showed the debt of the custom battles, i just figure fans will make a story mode for every character and every arc. :D

It’s both. If you use a transformation, it does disappear and have to replenish so that you can’t just spam jumping between forms. What you’re saying is true too, but it could be considered a stock as well.

okay so. those arent transformation stocks you transform using skill stocks the number on the transformation thing is just how many different transformations are available to that character
not going to lie if this is the “final build” and these are the only maps we’re going that’s disappointing as hell can’t even front. That’s going to be so ass if their recycling the same maps because certain battles have iconic maps like baby vegeta on the planet of truffles or the yeti star with metal cooler
I'm kind of surprised that they didn't include Togama or Shisami. Not that I'm a fan of those characters, but they did play a somewhat important role in Resurrection of F, both the movie and TV series. And yet they included some insignificant characters from the Tournament of Power. I'm also surprised with the lack of OG characters, such as Mercenary Tao and Demon King Piccolo. Or maybe they're there and I just missed them. I don't know. Anyhow, I'm in no way complaining. This game is looking really good. This may end up being my favorite DB game - or 2nd favorite - alongside FighterZ. Unfortunately DB games don't have a very good track record. But again, this one certainly has my attention.
No way you think bandai doesn't have 3 season passes ready for sparking zero 😭 DB is probably wave 1 and Daima for wave 2. Wave 3 is most likely the filler characters like Android 21, Shallot and Superhero characters.
Man, Goku's voice is breaking all over the place. I hope Masako Nozawa is feeling fine. She's probably been pulling a crazy schedule recording for the game + DB Daima, especially given that she's voicing multiple characters and different variations of all those characters :S
Love how the game’s shaping up… But the audio is all over the place, anything involving Ki is almost inaudible a lot of the time or there just isn’t any audio playing, even during Ultimates there’s just a lack of a punch in terms of audio design, Not a big deal but I’d be lying if it didn’t make a lot of the transformations/special attacks feel a bit…empty
The only gripes I have: -character select is horrendous -English VA's sound real phoned in Everything else looks legit perfect and those last two issues are very, very minor. I think this is going to be THE DBZ game.
At first I was disappointed at UI being completely separate from Goku (Super), but then I realized they can make UI as broken and powerful as it should be by doing that, because his DP cost can be high without you being able to "cheat" it by picking Goku (Super) and transforming to UI. So I'm actually all for it!
I'm quit disappointed with the lack of stage/map varieties in this game. Clearly they tried to surpass BT3 character roster but failed spectacularly in at-least matching BT3 maps let alone surpassing it.
You definitely misinterpreted the transformation stocks. You dont build up stocks to use, it just shows you how many are available to do at the point. You use the sparking stocks (the blue ones I'm not sure what they are called) to transform. So with UI you just used the stocks with the abilities so you didnt have enough to transform
Weird how they have a model for Supreme Kai yet he isn't in the base game. He must get some fights in Daima and they're waiting for those fights to happen before they add any new attacks to his character.
I really miss the old dragon ball game menu system: Nice 2d moving art with chill backround music and vibrant sounds when you press something on the menu.
Hopefully you see this Globku, but the reason you were confused on the UI transformation is because not all transformations just use 1 Blast Stock. It looks like UI Sign to UI took 2 Blast Stocks and you just didn’t realize. Any time that it “disappeared” you were under 2. Your don’t “lose” or use the transformation icons, they just show what’s available given your resources.
Everything looks great, though I’m disappointed in the lack of stages. I was suspecting it since they kept reusing the same ones in promotional material but I was hoping for a bit more variety.
Kinda wish that the stands in the tournament of power had the destroyers and angels for background so it feels like a tournament of power battle is going on
I can't stand seeing Bergamo alone... the main 3 hitters of U2 and U11 are here, but Basil and Lavender are left out being the main 3 with Bergamo of their universe.... 😥😢😭😓
Kinda bummed about the super attack animations on UI Sign Goku, all of his Super Attacks are just the Kamehameha, and MUI's Ultimate was a bit of a letdown too. These animations aren't bad by any means, I just expected a bit more variety, especially considering how amazing their job was on all versions of SSJ1 Goku and their all new animations.

If it's like RB2, which had the very same system in a much bigger way since there was only 1 version of each character, there isn't any guarantee that brand new characters like UI Goku will have alternate original supers. It's usually just the stock super attacks and utility moves, so you can keep your playstyle between characters. Also, some animations just look kinda underwhelming when compared to their predecessors, Gogeta 4's Strike Super looked much better in BT3 and even referenced the famous elbow to the face scene. In Sparking Zero, it only lasts a second, and the only cool part is the first teleportation.
I wonder in character customization can you put different costumes on different character forms. Like we saw a first look at The Whis Gi Goku today. Since UI Sign Goku is a different character version of Goku on its own, could you still add the Whis Gi as a customization for him? Or could you put Super Saiyan Blue Gogeta in the same fit as DBZ Gogeta with the halo? That would go crazy
@Globku this is amazing, the only thing i'm a bit upset about is that we are missing: -Super 17 -OG Dragon ball characters -SSJ2 & Rage Trunks -Nova Shenron -Eis Shenron -SSJ Caulifla -etc as playable characters in the game so far...I just hope some of these characters are DLC in the future and lastly, Curious question but do you think the DLC 1,2, and 3 packs in the ultimate edition Season Pass will be the ONLY DLCs for this game or would there be a DLC pack 4/Season Pass 2 and beyond in the future?

I can understand the fact that game developer gives demo for Content Creators to show other people game in general. But I think Bandai taking it too far with giving Content Creators around 3-5 Demos and even now Full Builds 20 days before release. I understand some people want to see more info on game but there will be literally nothing to explore after game released due to content creators showing every pixel :/
Yeahhhhh and you could just not watch those videos- also want you mean there no exploring there literally custom battle no one going do exactly the same thing. And lastly they have restriction in this Gane for a reason. Like that's not all the stages.
After the game releases, you should absolutely put out a guide to Custom Battle Mode. I think a lot of people are going to be overwhelmed by the options in there and might watch a good primer on how to deal with it and get the most out of it.

Skill Points are needed to transform so when you use skills that take Skill Points you lose the ability to transform I believe some transformations take more Skill Points Edit: 22:02 The thing your calling a transformation stock is just the indicator that you have another transformation you can go into When it was at 1 it meant you could power down to base when it was at 2 it meant you had enough Skill Points to transform into your next form or go down to base

That's the newest design. You can see it in the DBS Broly movie. I'm sure he'll have many costumes including the one without that, Bardock has both his Broly and original Z costumes.

Everything seems perfect so far, it's like a childhood dream come true. Only things I dislike is the character selection menu. I think they should use the hexagons and stack the transformations like in the old games. Another thing I personally dislike is how that animation at 29:07 takes all the momentum out and feels kind off unnatural. They should make it faster like the old games.

Bruh one small complain i have is goku black rose. Like he has a dimension spliting scythe that spawns clones, a sword hand and gokus ki abilities (plus zamasu combo moves) and you give him a kamehameha as special move and one as super move? Not to mention his base form also already has a kamehameha Thats kind of a bummer tbh, its not like we dont already have a million times the same move anyway and now they have a character that has more diverse moves shown and they still go for basic?

It was the same in the older Tenkaichi games as well. Things like Instant Transmission or Explosive Wave used the same resource as transforming.

The transformation "stock" isnt a stock, its just a number to see how many forms you can transform into. Wanted to point that out.
It’s both. If you use a transformation, it does disappear and have to replenish so that you can’t just spam jumping between forms. What you’re saying is true too, but it could be considered a stock as well.

okay so. those arent transformation stocks you transform using skill stocks the number on the transformation thing is just how many different transformations are available to that character

I'm kind of surprised that they didn't include Togama or Shisami. Not that I'm a fan of those characters, but they did play a somewhat important role in Resurrection of F, both the movie and TV series. And yet they included some insignificant characters from the Tournament of Power. I'm also surprised with the lack of OG characters, such as Mercenary Tao and Demon King Piccolo. Or maybe they're there and I just missed them. I don't know.
Anyhow, I'm in no way complaining. This game is looking really good. This may end up being my favorite DB game - or 2nd favorite - alongside FighterZ. Unfortunately DB games don't have a very good track record. But again, this one certainly has my attention.
No way you think bandai doesn't have 3 season passes ready for sparking zero 😭 DB is probably wave 1 and Daima for wave 2. Wave 3 is most likely the filler characters like Android 21, Shallot and Superhero characters.
Ngl the menu setup looks a little bit weird to navigate but I love the individualized screens for each
Man, Goku's voice is breaking all over the place. I hope Masako Nozawa is feeling fine. She's probably been pulling a crazy schedule recording for the game + DB Daima, especially given that she's voicing multiple characters and different variations of all those characters :S

But the audio is all over the place, anything involving Ki is almost inaudible a lot of the time or there just isn’t any audio playing, even during Ultimates there’s just a lack of a punch in terms of audio design,

At first I was disappointed at UI being completely separate from Goku (Super), but then I realized they can make UI as broken and powerful as it should be by doing that, because his DP cost can be high without you being able to "cheat" it by picking Goku (Super) and transforming to UI. So I'm actually all for it!
I'm quit disappointed with the lack of stage/map varieties in this game. Clearly they tried to surpass BT3 character roster but failed spectacularly in at-least matching BT3 maps let alone surpassing it.
Tbh they probably gonna force u to unlock them or buy them in the shop lol

You definitely misinterpreted the transformation stocks.
You dont build up stocks to use, it just shows you how many are available to do at the point. You use the sparking stocks (the blue ones I'm not sure what they are called) to transform. So with UI you just used the stocks with the abilities so you didnt have enough to transform

Hopefully you see this Globku, but the reason you were confused on the UI transformation is because not all transformations just use 1 Blast Stock. It looks like UI Sign to UI took 2 Blast Stocks and you just didn’t realize. Any time that it “disappeared” you were under 2.
Your don’t “lose” or use the transformation icons, they just show what’s available given your resources.
Everything looks great, though I’m disappointed in the lack of stages. I was suspecting it since they kept reusing the same ones in promotional material but I was hoping for a bit more variety.
This aren't all the stages they showed a stage that isn't om here yet.

Yup, with Basil and Lavender They could also have added the Zeno Expo to Story Mode. Same with Botamo and Magetta for the Tournament of Destroyers.
Kinda bummed about the super attack animations on UI Sign Goku, all of his Super Attacks are just the Kamehameha, and MUI's Ultimate was a bit of a letdown too.
These animations aren't bad by any means, I just expected a bit more variety, especially considering how amazing their job was on all versions of SSJ1 Goku and their all new animations.
If i remember correctly you can have different supers and ultimates
that's the entire point of the customization.

If it's like RB2, which had the very same system in a much bigger way since there was only 1 version of each character, there isn't any guarantee that brand new characters like UI Goku will have alternate original supers. It's usually just the stock super attacks and utility moves, so you can keep your playstyle between characters. Also, some animations just look kinda underwhelming when compared to their predecessors, Gogeta 4's Strike Super looked much better in BT3 and even referenced the famous elbow to the face scene. In Sparking Zero, it only lasts a second, and the only cool part is the first teleportation.

I wonder in character customization can you put different costumes on different character forms. Like we saw a first look at The Whis Gi Goku today. Since UI Sign Goku is a different character version of Goku on its own, could you still add the Whis Gi as a customization for him? Or could you put Super Saiyan Blue Gogeta in the same fit as DBZ Gogeta with the halo? That would go crazy

Its sad that the character select screen still looks like this and there should be an option to remove the delay that happens when you go to the character and it takes them a second to appear on the screen

Bardock being his DBS outfit makes sense, and I'm glad they kept his original design as an outfit instead.
I can understand the fact that game developer gives demo for Content Creators to show other people game in general. But I think Bandai taking it too far with giving Content Creators around 3-5 Demos and even now Full Builds 20 days before release. I understand some people want to see more info on game but there will be literally nothing to explore after game released due to content creators showing every pixel :/

Yeahhhhh and you could just not watch those videos- also want you mean there no exploring there literally custom battle no one going do exactly the same thing. And lastly they have restriction in this Gane for a reason. Like that's not all the stages.
After the game releases, you should absolutely put out a guide to Custom Battle Mode. I think a lot of people are going to be overwhelmed by the options in there and might watch a good primer on how to deal with it and get the most out of it.

The upside of this is they can make UI Goku insanely powerful because his DP cost can be high without you managing to "cheat" it by picking Goku (Super) for lower cost and transforming into UI

When it was at 1 it meant you could power down to base when it was at 2 it meant you had enough Skill Points to transform into your next form or go down to base

It’s a huge shame there’s no blood in this game that’s The only thing that really sucks that it’s another censored db game But aside from that, it’s something I can get over and just hope isn’t the case in The next big dragon ball game, but overall This game looks like a 9 out of 10 AT THE WORST The only thing I’m really concerned about is the story it seems kind of short and “cheap” in some ways But I haven’t even played it yet, so I don’t know I’ll probably end up, loving it. That's the newest design. You can see it in the DBS Broly movie. I'm sure he'll have many costumes including the one without that, Bardock has both his Broly and original Z costumes.

Everything seems perfect so far, it's like a childhood dream come true.
Only things I dislike is the character selection menu. I think they should use the hexagons and stack the transformations like in the old games.
Another thing I personally dislike is how that animation at 29:07 takes all the momentum out and feels kind off unnatural. They should make it faster like the old games.

its cuz the stages are massive, the amount of time it took to make one stage in sparking zero is probably equivalent to how long it took to make three in BT3

This game is almost perfect atp. I just really wish they didn't lock the costumes behind the arcs. I'm not even asking for more costumes. The assets are already there, just make it so you can put God or UI goku in the yardrat clothes

Like he has a dimension spliting scythe that spawns clones, a sword hand and gokus ki abilities (plus zamasu combo moves) and you give him a kamehameha as special move and one as super move?
Not to mention his base form also already has a kamehameha
