Oh my gosh, thank you so much for this. I literally GASPED with how much relief this gave me. I had no idea how had I needed it until I tried it. Making the 4th one as we speak but I had to stop and comment. Thank you thank you. I am so grateful. I could cry tears of relief right now. I’m sort of in disbelief

I used 14g for this one, 16 for smaller ones. There's a list of "ingredients" in the "tools and materials" video as well, it's in the playlist with this one

They work like glasses, the finger is corrected when the splint is on. When the splint is off the finger bends backwards because that's how it's built.. its not an injury that needs to heal. Not wearing the splint lets the joint bend backwards and if I push a button, for example, my fingertip will just keep bending backwards until it can't any more. With the splint on the fingertip stays straight and pushes the button.
I use 16 or 14 for the small ones on the fingertips, 14 or 12 for the bigger ones and 12 or 10 for the thumbs, depending on the metal and size of the splint. The copper in the video is a length of 14/2 romex electrical wire left over from a building project, easily found at any hardware store
I made several in copper wire just to get a feel for how the thumb splint should be shaped and even made changes after documenting the video.. don't be afraid to spend wire and find something that works for you
This is the most helpful video I've seen so far, and I find your voice really relaxing! Thanks 😊

Hi! Thanks to your video, I went ahead and ordered copper wire to do this at home myself! Thank you sooo much!! 🙂🙂
Don't be afraid to ask if you have questions
How long do you have to wear this spint for the finger to be corrected? I wore mine for 8 weeks but there was no improvement at all.

Here's a video that shows how bendy it is and how the splint works to prevent it
Thank you for kindly sharing x
Will it help for a 47 year old female with RA had in 2015? She has permanent swan neck deformity now
It should help to support the joint, either to keep the joint straight or to keep it from straightening depending on which way 'round its worn
Hi I was wondering how big is the size of the wires you use?

@@Faesharlyn Copper wire is what I've been using. I just started using the ending off a scraper that is the same size!
What gauge of wire do you use?
12 or 14 for big splints, 14 or 16 for small ones, depending on how big the knuckles are
what is a ring splint, and why do you need it

Thank you for asking, I didn't even think to explain what and why
Nice idea :)
