- Here's a cover I made of the classic song Shuckin' the Corn, originally recorded by Earl Scruggs. This the first video with my new lights and mics, hope y'all like it!

The guitar guy decided he didn't wanna match shirts with the rest of us ☹️
That was really great! I just loved it. I've played it over and over. My grandfather was in a 12 man banjo group in the late 1920's through the 1939's. He was called the 'King of the Banjoleeros' . The played all over the midwest at dance halls and on the radio. He bought a 1927 Gibson Mastertone archback 4 string banjo. It took years, but I tracked it down through all the owners and bought back. It was converted to a 5-string but came with the original 4-string neck. I am now on my 6th month learning to play it. I am inspired by your videos. You have taught me quite a lot. I appreciate what you are doing. You are helping people become blugrass musicians! Thanks Mason!
Scruggs would be proud 👏🏼
Very well put together! Awesome!
Thanks!
very nice 👍
That sounded great Mason, and the new lights and mics were well worth it. Well done ! 👍🏻🪕🎸😊
Thanks Steve!
Man you're really good hey
You're indoors! The little siblings must have quieted down? Good picking!
Yep, family was at the grocery store 😎🤣 Thanks!
Wow! Love it!
Great work!
Thanks!
Good pickin i want to learn the banjo
Do it!
Mason! You've nailed this one for sure. Great playing on each instrument. Keep up the good work. I smile when I anticipate where you'll be and what you'll be doing 5-10 years down the road. Keep pickin' and grinnin'
Thanks! I'm looking forward to seeing what happens with the channel over time too.
You remind me of Ben Clark back when he began his teaching website. Been a lifetime member since the beginning, however many years now and he's killing it with the music store and teaching videos. I know you've mentioned working jobs recently but is it in your mind to teach/sell/work in the music industry full-time? Awesome trajectory you're on regardless... @@MasonCroneMusic
@@danpotter6140 Thanks so much, I hope to be at Ben's level someday. He's a great teacher and person. I would like to do it full time if it ends up being possible haha. Getting students is difficult but my online stuff is starting to pick up more speed.
Man that was awesome, it really sounded like earl scruggs played it!
Thanks!
The one guy is great. The other 3 are just riding his coattails.
I know right?
Me encanta!
No bass solo? 🤣Nice job! What mics did you get?
I have not the skill set for a bass solo... 🤧😂 I got two Audio Technica Pro 37s. I like them pretty good so far
Have you ever tried clawhammer?Just wondering. I’m playing banjo every day since Christmas, and I think I enjoy playing clawhammer/old timey traditional music more, not because I don’t like bluegrass I think old timey music is just more fun.
I learned one song a few years ago and never really did it again 😆
@@MasonCroneMusicDid you know theres also a style called two finger? How many other playing styles are there that I don’t know about
30K!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! : )
This guy has such a girly curtain lol!! HA HA! everyone come laugh at this guy!
Meanie... (Also I know this guy if anyone reads this and thinks he's actually being mean. Also it's my sister's room, not my curtain)
