    can we get a little stiffness bend test when you're describing the ski?

    I would say my DPS is made for POW unless I am going really slow even though I got my top speed of 76.8 mph on them which was weird because I think the time before my top speed on them was around 45 mph.. I should mention that my length are 184 and actually with the RP shape I would like to try that in a shorter length..

      I would like to try the Unleashed.. I would want to compare it to my Enforcer 104 Free.. Mine are are 179 and I love that length.. I am 5.9 210

      DPS are by far the worst skis a ever owned. They are overpriced and they handle terribly in powder and variable conditions. I do not recommend them.

    Thanks a lot for the great review! I've been looking at the QST Blanks as my Powder ski. I am 195 cm (6'4), 80 kg (176 lbs) and advanced/expert skier. It's very hard to find a ski for my height, that's also why I'm considering th 194 QST Blank. What do you think of this ski? Do you have any pros and cons? Thanks a lot!
    I like to ski off-piste/Backcountry, but would also really like to be able to ski touring, is it possible with this ski or are there other skis that are better for this combination? Thanks!

      The Blank would be a great way to go! We love the QSTs here and the Blank is a great powder ski for blending flotation and manuverability in deep snow with stability. The construction is incredibly damp, especially at speed or if things get chopped up and variable.
      The Blank is definitely not a touring specific ski, but it's not so heavy and loaded with metal that you can't take it touring! Matt at the shop owns a Blank with a Duke PT hybrid binding. He doesn't tour on it all the time, but it's great for shorter approaches or when he wants a heavier set up for the conditions/terrain.
      Another ski to look at would be the Black Crows Anima I talk about -- that comes in a 194 at 115mm. Super similar to the Blank, maybe a little less quick to turn but very stable at speed and loves to charge. -Alex

      @@mathiashald1168 I'm surprised to see how they sell the Anima, i had them for a year in 194 and they did not covinced me at all, not so directive as the tail slip away very often because of the enormous rocker and not very damp in the chop snow, i dont think it's a good and well made ski as the bindings screws become loose with time because the core was made with a fragile wood
      Go with something else man

    How do the prodigies compare to QSTs? I’m thinking of the QST 106 vs the prodigy 3 - are there any real pros and cons to both of them? Thanks

    • @powder7skis
      @powder7skis  3 місяці тому

      Both great skis! The Prodigy 3 is more symmetrical in the tip and tail, and I fnd to be a little stiffer throughout the ski. The QST has loads of rocker, but almost a more directional shape with more rocker in the tip than the tail. To me, the Prodigy is happy being skied with a more centered stance, but the QST really comes alive with some consistent pressure on the shovels. Overall, the Prodigy has more freestyle flair and has more pop and energy. Probably better edge hold on firm snow too. But the QST is super nimble in bumps and trees, and feels very damp when cruising through heavier chop. -Alex

    i'm 5'5 130 lbs, would i be alright on a 177 nocta?

    • @powder7skis
      @powder7skis  8 місяців тому

      That's not normally the size I would recommend for someone your height, but it all depends what you're normally comfortable on. What size do you normally ride? Personally, I don't size my powder skis too much differently than my regular skis and comfortably ride that size at 172cm tall (5'8"). The Nocta is softer and very playful, so of all skis to size up on (compared to an Anima, or Unleashed 114) the Nocta is one to do for sure! -Alex

      @@powder7skis late reply but thanks guys! I ski a 172cm atris. Used to ski the 166cm atris but felt more comfy on the 172 especially on bowl areas. Just bought a 177 nocta, hopefully it works well for me! I kinda feel that maybe this 177cm nocta might feel shorter than my atris given the profile of the ski but we'll see!

      @@matt.rraw.sweet! Yeah if you ride that 172 Atris I think the Nocta will feel pretty comfortable for you!! Enjoy and hope you find some soft snow!! -Alex
