Our 3-stage system consists of sediment, carbon, and descaler cartridges. Additionally, it is offered in premium, heavy duty 20-inch by 4 and one half inch filter housings.
During Stage 1, our system uses a dual gradient polypropylene filter media to effectively reduce dirt and sediment particles. This dual gradient design provides a high flow and high capacity filter cartridge, making it ideal for whole house filtration.
For Stage 2, our system uses a specialized German-made carbon called “catalytic” carbon to reduce chlorine, chloramine, lead, fluoride, sulfur odors, and other contaminants. Chlorine tends to strip hair and skin of their natural oils, leaving them feeling dry and even brittle. Our catalytic coconut shell carbon media helps reduce chlorine and chloramine, which improves the taste and odor of your drinking water and leaves your hair and skin soft and silky.
In addition, according to the EPA, using chlorinated water, even for flushing the toilet or showering, can release a toxic chlorine by-product called chloroform into the air. Chloroform has been linked to free radical formation and cell mutation. When we inhale chloroform, it goes directly into the bloodstream, without any buffers. In the 3rd Stage, our system uses the latest, cutting edge descaler technology that not only prevents scale buildup but also reduces previously formed scales.
