Hey Andy: Wow, what a fantastic comment! I really do appreciate it. Please SUBSCRIBE and LIKE my channel. I'm currently working on a whole new series of SU videos, so jump on the train! Again, thanks so much!
The version in 2017 was also not too good. Trimble has decided that clear images aren't important. You might try simply cropping out an image from Google Earth I have a feeling that topography might soon be a part of the Earth data.
@@Krupster_architect yes sir maybe it can be done with old version but i havn't found it and also hoped that sketchup may process such estimated risk of flooding with the help of calculations (plugin) maybe
@@Krupster_architect mostly urban flood incidents induced by heavy rainfall in many cases entail flooding of combined sewer systems and these flood waters are likely to be contaminated and may pose potential health risks to citizens as well as others.
You might try both the catalog of extensions on Sketchucation.com as well as posting your query on the SKETCHUP Forum and the forum on Sketchucation.com. This sounds fairly complex. Ask at SketchupEssentials.com. He tracks plugins.
Thank you so much. You really heip me,especially on how to draw foundation. Sometimes Ihave a problem on scenes. When Isave the last scene and go back to the first one, it is show the last one Isave. Please help me on this.
The information you've given me is unclear however I will take a shot. When you modify anything in a scene (relocate the camera, turn layers off or on, etc) the scene must be UPDATED. Right click on the scene tab for the SCENE you changed and select UPDATE from the Context Menu. If you do not update all the work you did reworking the scene will be lost.
Question, in CAD how do you set up your CAD plans so that it aligns right with the geo location map? Lets say a building envelope is in cad but want to make sure its in the right location in sketchup....
If you're using pro you can import the cad file directly into SketchUp. Once imported you have to verify the scale by measuring something on the imported cad drawing. Once measured (prior to doing anything else) type in the correct dimension. SU will adjust everything accordingly.
Take a look at my video "from pdf to topography" on my KruppAssociates Architects UA-cam page. Sketchup has a tool called Solar North (available in the Extension Warehouse) that provides a way to tell SU what way is north. If I missed your point, please let me know.
Now you got to pay for geo-location. Because, even Google Earth is available free of charge for anyone, Google's evil empire decided they will charge for it if you use Google Earth through Trimble.

Perfect Tutorial. Thank you very much. Greetings from the United Kingdom
You're very welcome. I'm working on new videos for release very soon.
That’s great !
I will be looking forward to see it 👍

Not that I know of. Sorry
You've got me curious.,,.. what is estimated risk of flooding entail? Maybe it can be done with plain old Sketchup.

is the image from geolocation to correct scale
It was before Trimble took over. There is now a "pay for" geolocation where you can purchase a super high quality image of anywhere.

I can use that program to create a route in train simulator?
I don't know for sure, but I'm thinking you could if you chug enough. LOL Please check out my new videos. Like and Subscribe!
I go back to 2016. You can get it at Sketchup.com/download/ all. It should work. Open the file in 2018.
Hopefully that's a good thing?

Thank-you, I guess?
They have taken this feature away in 2018 - anyone know how to use geolocation in 2018?
