I like the long grey coats with the white belt more than the red coats, what is the difference? I want to get one of the grey coats, is that possible? I guess I could google these questions for myself...
They're just their winter dress, they're the same if not identical across most of the British Army, so you can probably find surplus ones online.
And people say they're not a tourist attraction
+zzzzzz They are, without doubt ;)
It's called tradition, if people want to see it then so be it but it was here before they arrived.
Mr Who they aren't. they did it for hundreds of years. it happened even during WW1 and WW2. they did this pompous ceremony when london didn't really have "tourists"
They aren't it's tradition, a ceremony, it would be done if there was no one to watch.
They have de facto become one.
Wish those girls would stop laughing. It's annoying. And really immature too. Thanks for sharing Jose!

And the band of the royal guards accompanying the old guard
Muito Bom, Parabens .
what is the name of the music the first set of guards played? and the secod set ?
First set is "Figaro" for the slow march and "Washington Grays" for the quick march. The second set, I have no idea.
The second band play "Namur"
Salieri
First piece of music sounds like it's by Mozart from the movie Amadeus
You mean from the opera The Marriage of Figaro dated early1700s. It is a great slow march. The lines are always just that bit straighter when that one plays.
I like how red the life guards cloaks are, and how blue the blues and royals cloaks are. I dont really like how in the winter that the grenadier guards have grey, but I do like their great coats
Conrail Gp-40 Guy the grey great coats is standard ceremonial winter dress throughout the British army
@@steveellis9065 yes. I've seen the rifles, royal regt of scotland, royal regt of Wales, and all of the regiments wear them
