Congratulations Tim, for having the courage to try, and congratulations to Buckin for having the compassion to give a young man a shot. Successful collaboration for both. Well done
Thats awsome the totem pole is getting stood the day I get out of the halfway house. Final freedom ! I was in a bad place last year and ended up in prison , makeing bad life choices 😕. Your videos have helped me out in the way I veiw things and your attitude and efforts to spread kindness have helped me along the way this last few months in the half way house. You have inspired me to do what I love!!!!! I look forward to your videos every day! Thanks for the inspiration buckin!
Buckin, I love that you stopped chopping just to show us some cool knots (they were cool), and interrupting the video to personally thank people is very classy
I’ve watched you split a lot of wood over the years on this channel and saw your strength when swinging the axe, but today my friend on those huge rounds has given me a new appreciation on your strength and how well you can read the wood. Stay safe, be kind everyone and love always wins

Love ya Buckin!
Thanks for the content! May you all be free from danger May you all feel mental ease May you all love and feel loved Life is a beautiful journey, all you need to do is enjoy it✊
You know, my friend, you truly do have the right "spirit"! 🙏 One of the reasons I know that, is that no matter what is going on in my life, no matter how fast the pace might be at the time, and the number of things swirling in my mind, when I open up any of your videos, immediately my breathing slows as does my heart rate and my blood pressure drops. That's what the right spirit will do to you! Thank you dearly from the bottom of this old boy's heart! ❤️ Love you all... Lieutenant Bradley
Very well said, good observation... Must concur with ya all the way. But curious to actually watch the heart monitor and pressure and breathing. Been getting back into the Wim Hof breathing techniques to prepare for the worst possible winter... "expect the worst /hope for the best" jirus : buck private in the Buckin Army. 😊🌲🌿🌱🍀🌴
Holy super duper Woodman, those are some big rounds. I can't imagine not soaking in a nice hot Epsom salt bath and get some therapeutic body work after such an intense chopping session. Those bucks were made for the Eastonmade splitter.... Yikes and away... Roll em up a ramp... We don't want ya to rack yo back... 😷😱 Yikes and awaaaay I'm the duck that swings into the tree... Yikes and awaaaay
Love the way you hit the spot you're aiming for every time; when I'm splitting wood it's often just to the left or just to the right... if one day I'll be as accurate as you, I will be very happy :)
Good evening friends and my fellow true blues. Welcome new friends joining the buckin army soldiers of kindness your truly welcome. Have a safe and great week.. Regards from across the pond
Great splittin buddy. More tips picked up today for sure. Nice work Tim on wood bullet 3. Great to see you Drifter. Hahahahahaha. Thanks Buckin. Love ya Brother. 🌲❤🌲✊🪓
That was one of the best drifter yet. We get guys coming through Pittsburgh like that all the time, just drifting into town, check out the scenery then off again. Leaving a trail of beatnik philosophy and poetry for others to ponder. Slide on by, smooth your attitude and roll off toward the sunset.
Speaking of hitting rocks with your axe, I live in New England. That being said I, also like splitting on the ground. A great work around is using a half sheet of 3/4 in plywood under your rounds. Put a hole in it a tie a rope on it and pull it around the pile to make a hard task just a bit easier and save that beautifully sharpened maul or axe your swinging.
Awesome video Buckin! As always you were right about my super pro 60 and my 7-10 Mack on a 32” bar. Dropped back down to a 28” and she rips! I’ll be porting them and my 550 this winter! Stay safe and happy brother!!!
Buckin I’ve been watching for a while and want you to know u have changed me for the better. I was never a very gabby person always avoiding conversation, after watching u and ur outgoing and personable nature I found my self talking to complete strangers like old friends. I have also been bitten but the axe bug and have found myself a mint Plumb axe head can’t wait to try my hand at putting a hand on it and going to work. Keep up the vids.
That sure was some beautiful wood Buckin. It was knotty, but as usual, you managed to chop it right up. I loved the lessons you presented in the process. Looking forward to the next video. Stay safe, healthy, productive,& motivated.💯❤️👍🏾😀🙋🏽♀️✝️🙏🏾🇺🇸
Tasmanian HB.... that is next level. I was still getting over the loss of dad's HB hatchet I didn't bring back to tassie from far north Queensland. Just what I needed to see. Now motivated to haft up one of the mystery heads I found in the shed when i got back.
On the big 30 inch round notty stuff go around in a circle and peel it apart. Working outside to inside. It save swings. Or use a wedge and sledge to wack em in half. Love splitting wood!!! Buckin taught me. Just sharing a tip I learned splitting sycamore and notty white pine. Noodling works to lol.
Tim ya did a vary good job making that axe. Buckin you did a excellent job putin on the handle. Cool looking axe great job splitting. As for the drifter he's always cool. Buckin I got my truck running. Man did it turn out great. I will try to send ya a photo or two. Love wins.
That is a georgous ax. I really like the sharpness of the edges opposite the business end. The flatness of the hammer looks like it was milled flat. Nice frigging work tim.
Nice job Tim. That axe is a nice piece of kit. And maybe the guy swingin it might know little bit on splitting himself. Have enjoyed the path followed to this point and looking forward to future progress.
Another great video Buckin! I think the buckin army needs to go help out Jake from the channel gulity of treeson. Having a hard time losing his old channel that he built from the ground up and now he had to walk away from that project and that company. The army is always here to spread the love and i know a lot of us also followed his old channel! Thanks brother, much love
Wow buckin over 300k subs..i started watching you vids when you had less than 500 .glad to see your success! I just split some sitka spruce rounds like that.
I must say that ever since i heard that golden oldie and it cracked me up i use it as often as appropriate and it really brings out the chuckles. Oldies but goodies.
I look forward to seeing you channel each day. The axes, the older saws and the tree work are amazing. But more than that, what draws me to your channel is your outlook on life and the message you deliver. It's pure poetry and especially it's beautiful. mgbaky
Hey Buckin wow! I wished the red oak I just cut would split that easy or even the white oak. Of corse my rounds are twice as long as yours .I put 30’’ logs on my out side boiler. That’s share a really nice AX!!!!
Just a thought Buckin, some old guys that have passed on once told me to split from the top of the tree down. These old timers hand split there entire life, low and behold it works, if you can tell how the tree grew put the top of the tree facing towards your axe. let me know if you can tell a difference.
I guess it’s an oak thing, that’s mostly what we use here in the south East. Red oak is easy splittin, white oak can be tough but I try to always do top down splitting. So cool to get a reply from you Buckin’, you are such a positive figure in a weird world, keep up the awesome work! If I ever cross the border, I am going to make it a point to come stop by.
Question Whats the proper way to sharpen an edge on my axe. I dont own a water stone but id like to get a good kneen edge on my 2 sided axe one of the 2 sides has a nick it it i can grind it out with a 4" body grinder becuse it would take all day with a file. Assuming its forged steel it is an older long handle axe With a hickory handle. I got it used for a few bucks. It was pretty sharp I put the nick in it hitting a tree stump and glanced off and hit cement sidewalk. Im not splitting logs with it just chopping down 1 and 2" dia trees i dont want in my wooded lot then adding a stump killer I could use my chain saw but seems like a waste to dig it out just for this.
banging and swigging on hollow log, its time myrtle, for a good ol' over haul, we always see it a comin.. but she isn't backing down, she'll fire up every time u wanna hear her pistons growl. buckin' is a buckin the plants, that give us the prideful air, play around in the cut i think ill call that a dare. now we in the wood shed slappin axes cause their mean and bad, its just a good time were all having so why ya feelin sad. (kindness is igniting a light in someone for no reason other than to see it glow)
Good Day, from work.. jobsite in Victoria, BC. We out here installing some E.V. charging stations. Buckin! He's close by... I can feel it.. hehe..Beautiful Day out here on the island.. anyone know of any axe/saw shops out this way?

I much prefer working the sides like you teach us! Much love Buckin
G'day Casterman 2. Down under anyone old enough referes to that type of splitting as Backing off, in most woods here that's the only way possible.
Wow Mr. Tim , Buckin' was really making short order of that stove wood , with your tool my friend !!!

hi friend
Sei davvero un toro complimenti, ti seguo sempre con molto interesse un saluto dalla Italia
People are dying to get in here had me cracking up
Impressive axe to stand up to good maul for busting big wet rounds.
If you want to get into axe making, you should watch Liam Hoffman's videos. He is a young guy in NC making the nicest axes ever produced.
Now to work out a deal so we can buy that axe profile.

Waylon Jennings would've been proud cause it looks like you have some dingo boots on
How sharp do I sharpen a maul? Take out the speed bump like an axe? Tradition say not sharp but you make me think otherwise.
I have an alternative solution to big knots: my Kobalt 80v Chainsaw. Works good & makes good Starter material.:)
People are dying to get in here!! 😃😃😃😃😃😃
We have no doug fir around these parts I would like to try my hand at splitting some one day.
I am interested in getting a axe made by you but your website doesn't have prices and I have to work it into a budget
