Thanks, I started my room on the quest for building my RR and decided to get back on the model car builds for a bit so I made the cabinet to store the overflow..
Colored telephone pole insulators, that brings back some memories.. Back in the sixties we would appropriate those. I would suspect some of my relatives and friends still have them. Great workshop I wish I could duplicate it. as of today I work out of an open garage.
Thanks Stephen, I started at the kitchen table, took the tables finish by spilling a bottle of glue, moved out to the garage workbench and pulled the plug and built a room.. Best money I have ever spent..
Hey the 1:1 scale at the beginning looks interesting. All them semi trailers you are goig to have to start getting tractor units to pull them. My favorite in there is the V8 looks awesome. It would be great to see your wife out there building as well
Thanks Chris, Yes Ford family growing up, Love it.. Most of my whole family dives Ford, I picked up a 05 Impala years back cheap for a back and forth work car for the price only.. Man did I hear about it lol
I bet you did! My family the same way. I have a Ram Express I got in 2014 only because I couldn't find an F150 that I wanted. I heard about myself lol.
Thanks, I was starting to get cheap on the tiles, project was starting to add to the already over priced room build lol, figured this was a cheaper and cool alternative, the hardest part was figuring out the spacing for the field of stars.. So I put the flag up first and added the tiles around it.
Thanks Thomas, The collecting is getting there, have had some of those for 25 plus years, was trying to get every year Mustang to one day build a year to year display, one day lol. I have been wrenching for 30 plus year, and when you think you have seen it all there's always a new surprise lol.. Have a good one!
Thanks Nick, for sure the stash didn't happen overnight , some of those kits I have had for 25 plus years.. For now I am trying to scale back, but it's hard lol..
@@kregskorner8851 I know how you feel. I used to have a 24 x 32 garage to work in. I put up a divider wall and painted cars on the side along with some mechanical work back in the 80's - 90's.
Very nice! I miss the Frisch's Big Boy's! Onion rings and a cherry coke. Lots of memories of cruise ins there. Thank you for the tour! It's a little bittersweet because i had such grand plans when i bought this house a few years ago. And if i show how and where i build now, you will wonder how anything gets done!
I love Big Boy, there is not many around since covid.. The last one we went to about 4 months ago told the wife every time I have been, I always wanted the bank... Had to have it lol.. I had built at the table for years, one day I spilled a bottle of glue one the kitchen table and took the finish right off, figured time to build a dedicated room, had been wanting to do for some time.. Now it's too small lol..
@@kregskorner8851 there's still some further south in Ohio, but not as many as there used to be. My old standby bench is my coffee table. I have enough work benches to make anyone jealous, but I also have the bad habit of piling junk on them lol. It's not all my fault (as every man would say). Short version when we moved here, the boxes came first, furniture would wait a month or two. Covid hit. Then wife did her brain injury in the middle, and required constant care for the first 2 yrs. On a day she felt good she would open a box or two even though we had no place to put the stuff. We still don't have everything down here
Love your old 63 Plymouth. My first car was a red 63 Plymouth Belvedere more door, 318 3 on the tree. I found it at Tubbs Bros. Chrysler dealer in Sandusky, Michigan in 1970. I saw it across the lot, love at first sight. To this day it is still my favorite body style hands down. The 56 Nomad is second place. That came a few years later though.
Thats awesome! One of those cars I should have kept.. I worked at Tubbs for 13 years started in 1994, worked both Chrysler and Ford and lived in Sandusky at the time.. Was a good place to work..
I like the Bob Glendon chief auto parts ps thunderbird and the Tyco tanker. The tyco brought me back to when I was a kid with my dad. I have his train layout in my basement and have a few typos. Nice hobby room watch your channel all the time.
Thanks Scott, honestly the room started out for model RR builds, and ended up watching some youtube vids on model car builds and thought maybe I will start with model cars first.. I started with a TYCO set with my dad as a kid , in the basement on a pool table 4x8 oval and a switch. I still have it, want to make a shelf to display it. Started with the model cars very young also with my dad, did them both growing up.. Glidden car was given to me from a Ford Dealer I was working at, was sitting on there parts shelf forever and ask one day if I wanted it.. Of-course, lol
I doubt I would keep a shop looking as neat as that one. (If you saw my 2-room office right now - also built inside my garage - you'd agree!) lol Hope you fixed the EXP! Just about time to start loading my Edge for the trip to Michigan. I've been retired over 15 years now, so it's time I finish my move out and get rid of the expense of having two residences. Probably will go to Taylor while I'm in the neighborhood.
Thanks Ray, have no idea how many times a week I clean this up, I start getting very sidetracked when the clutter starts lol Hoping to see you in Taylor..
Thanks Joe, you know I have been thinking on getting a few not sure if there would be room next the few I have LOL... I have been trying to get every year built and always find one of those, Oh that would be cool kits, and it just keeps growing.. Have a good one Joe!
Thanks BOSS Man, I was given the Ford Flag from an engineer from the Romeo Engine plant along with power by Ford decals and some emblems.. Email your address I will send you a couple Power by Ford stickers..

Really nice work area. That flag is awesome 🇺🇸
Thanks, I love it out there, kick the music up and forget about the day lol. Flag was a last minute thought, looking back was glad I did that one..

Thanks Phil, That's cool, Hope to see you both there, might be riding down with Tony, hoping to get up early enough lol..
Keep the paint shelf’s. Thin dowels glued to their front edges?
Interesting idea! I built those from some scrap wood around the garage, just need to add some more.. Have a good one Michael..
