- Rovinj, on the west coast of Istria County, Croatia, has a stunning old town protruding into the sea. This charming lived-in village, with narrow cobblestone streets, tall stone houses, and a wonderful harbor, is a delight to explore. Rovinj was definitely a highlight of our travel in Croatia, and also our home base while exploring a few other locations in Istria.

Charming old town! It’s wonderful to see the mix of Croatian and Italian culture and architecture. I really appreciate the preservation of towns where the everyday people lived! Rovinj is beautiful! I love all of those old narrow cobblestone streets and old homes. I love how this is nestled on the sea as well. This is such a charming town.
