21:20 Here's a few things about AceGamerSam and his N64 Challenge:
1) The guy is a casual streamer and speedrunner, so he did this on his free time.
2) He already had a complete North American set, so he decided to make use of it by completing all of them. He even played some for the first time.
3) He did this for 5 and a half year, again in his free time.
4) He chronicled EVERYTHING, from the date he started playing to the time it took him to reach the credits. He did a few streams to explore the game and then followed with a one-sitting stream. Every run is either on his Twitch channel or on UA-cam.
5) He even replayed some of the games in order to complete them, and a few took him 24 to 30 hours O_o
6) The idea of getting a Guiness World Record came in the halfway point IIRC, as he noticed that the previous holder didn't "complete" several N64 games. He talked to other gamers about how to properly finish some of the games. Coupled with his documents and videos, he has everything needed to prove that he can get the record ;)

Dispatch Games isn't a limited printing copy they've released a bunch of games in retail stores before. They did say they were sending out codes for the games to people bought them so they could play them while waiting but I never got a code for the game I bought. They did offer refunds to people, I didn't ask for one so I don't if they gave them or not. Every few months they would tweet about updates but nothing ever happens. I guess I'm glad I only order the 1 game and not all 3 they had up.
I love German potato salad too. One of my grandma's always made it. I think it's underrated.
I just sold my nes rob deluxe set for $510 two weeks ago on ebay because it just sat on my shelf and i needed the room for other stuff. They typically sell for anywhere between $330/450 but all the way up to $900 in good condition and complete. All I was missing the top foam part. I was shocked that I got that much for it. Now I know why I did. My box was is very good condition but not perfect. None are on the sold for less than $250 in the ebay sold listing. I'm not sure where you see that.
I haven't seen it in many, many years, but one memory of Knight Rider 2000 that still stands out in my mind is the completely unnecessary James Doohan cameo as himself. "Whoops! The incomplete KITT accidentally stunned Scotty! HYUCK!" S.M.D.H.

They were wanting to use the Pontiac Banshee IV but ended up using the stealth for the Knight Rider movie.

Starcraft 64 was very hard with its limited zoomed view and hard controls. And it doesn't take 2 to 3 hours to finish.
After googling it apparently they got Jan Hammer the Miami Vice dude to do the Knight Rider 2000 soundtrack....which okay why did they hire that dude who made such iconic 80s beep boops only to make bland 90s beep boops?
They should of just told him to go hog wild.

2 Things:
On the Knight Ryder 2000 thing. I surprised they used the Dodge Stealth, it really was kind of a dud. Don't get me wrong, my dad had one and I liked it. It's just that its sister car, Mitsubishi 3000gt, was the superior car. It had a couple of extras that took it from okay to slick. It's also in quite a few racing games to this day. Had one in Gran Turismo (1 or 2) and just got one in Forza Horizon 5.
Second, the best thing about the Evercade EXP bonus announcement is that it is like 2 cartridges of prime games. I love the Evercade series but the cartridges usually come with 2-3 hits and a few unknowns, which is great for discovery but having a solid lineup is nice.
I have the evercade and the evercade vs. but now to get the Capcom games I have to buy a new system. That's the rub
Yeah its obvious why people are mad -- not sure why Pat seemed puzzled by it - the people who supported the company/system (which is less than 2 years old), lose out and cant get a set of games. I 100% get why Evercade would do it - its Capcom and some really big games -- but then at the same time i see why early supporters feel burned -- its Capcom and some of the biggest games :) Its not like its 6 small indie games (maybe some intellavision ports ha-ha). Its 18 Capcom games which would probably be the 2 or 3 biggest selling carts on the platform if released physically. Locked to one version of the console and a $150 paywall.
Also digital games now is making the ecosystem murky - they kind of ran on "no downloads" platform didn't they? So having digital games, (even built in), is kinda odd. I think if they released it as a cart for older adopters to get it would be a non-issue.
The original system sales included a few carts free didn't they, does this version not get free carts since you get the Capcom games? That kind of balances it out. And its not a super expensive handheld, (but you could get a 2DS for $79 though...)
But yeah - i was annoyed when the 3DS came out with slight but very welcomed upgrades (analog stick, better processor, better 3D), and i felt the need to upgrade. Then the Switch which is still relatively new gets slightly better screen and battery and kickstand. Its annoying when its small upgrades like this -- do you want to drop a whole new consoles price tag on some minor quality of life improvements (than in many cases should have been in the original to begin with). Like I HATE my kickstand on my Switch, I want the new one, but is it worth paying for another Switch? No. So you just feel slightly burned. Or should I have to buy a new system to get the 3D to work on the 3DS - i did, then barely used it - but really the 3D should have been better on those launch units (which if you remember were SUPER expensive at launch).
I guess it rarely pays to be an early adopter in consoles. Its always buyer beware. Only console I can think of I'm glad I got early was the ps3, cost way more but had the backwards compatibility.
regarding the flea market pricing - a bird in hand is worth more than 2 in the bush. ppl can charge what they want.
I don't have an Evercade and wasn't too interested because it looked cheap. This new EXP has me very excited. I'm 100% excited about getting one. Especially since I pre-ordered an Analogue back in December and won't get it until sometime in 2023!
I'm thinking about waiting til after it releases, and try to get one from castlemania with one of those coupon codes, even if it's only 10% off. Just have to wait till it's no longer a preorder, because thier codes won't work on them.

I would argue that pre-installed games ARE physical media, since they come with the console. Otherwise, there is no such thing as physical media, as a game on a cartridge is digitally stored on said cartridge. If a game comes installed on a physical thing, it's physical media, even if the thing is a console!

In the same thing I read it sind that Busby 3D was a uncopmied SNES CD game ported to the Saturn then rushed to the PlayStation.
