Steve Caballero - Street Style Reedit

- The '90s put a lot of vert dudes out of business, but Stevie Cabalerro hit the streets and stayed relevant. Here's a highlight reel of Cab's pavement days. Legends skate everything.
Dudes can be lucky he didn't come up later. I've never seen such a hardcore vert/pool skater transition to street skateboarding at such late stage into their skating. Cab's work ethic and willingness to change is unbelivable.
you guys have no idea just how cool it is to see an 80's bones brigade member who's _not_ hawk or mullen skating switch and throwing down respectably smooth tre's and inward heelflips. And I don't recall either of the other two doing double kinked boardslides...
As for anyone commenting on the datedness, there were a lot better street pros by the 90's but none of them were Caballero.
I wonder if anyone can put up some 90's Mountain... :)
Just a quick comment here: I although I like this in multiple ways, I think you could probably get this down even further sizewise to the point where everything is a fOOOing banger. Like as if Cab has anything to prove, but Peralta was about the cinematography while Ternasky was about the demonstration of skill, and some of these better tricks (including classics/basics done further or higher) deserve to be showcased more- at 2 or 3 minutes, you would have an epic, timeless section that would even be marketable.. Just a thought, you have the footy and you got the skill. Peace
rebusd especially since some is in San Jose California
I remember this! Cab was pretty smart. He figured out if he stayed on the Vert ramp his pro career was done! So he adapted and hit the streets. RESPECT!
Dude just shreds. Period. Cab rules. Past, present and future (primitive) tense
I had one of Cab’s boards in the late 80’s, but I had no idea how awesome he was! I got it because I loved the dragon design on it…. LOL.🤣
Cab's street skating rivals any modern street skating out today.
HE SKATED BIGGER RAILS THAN ANYONE TODAY........ AND IT WAS BACK THEN
thats what i'm sayin
AND HE WAS A VERT SKATER
Dan Neufeld AND A TALENTED MUSICIAN AS WELL!!!!!!
AND HE HAD A GREAT STYLE DOING IT
haha uhhh no.. David Gonzales does the biggest ever.. Cab should stick to bowl.. If it was this easy EVERY skater I know would be pro
sometimes, for some stupid reason, you forget how good Stevie is/has always been.
Excellent his handrail control, so conscious while slid through it. totally stready and well balanced.
Those beautiful boardslides
Best "all around" skater of all time.
Tom Penny.
Cardiel
Bob.
grant taylor
hes better then penny anyday come on
seeing Cab someplace other than halfpipe and bowl is like seeing sasquatch at the beach. And the level of trick skill blew my mind
One if the greatest people to ever set foot on a skate board.
he truly transcended anything his own generation could do on wheels. he definitely kept innovation for years. amazing.
Pure class , a master pool, street and ramp skater , those board slides are no joke
Dude was killing it! This is the greatest video I've seen in a long time. Really brings me back and hurts my knees looking at it.
Perfect. A lot of the footage was new to me. Had one of the best fs flips till this day, he also took long ass rails and that kinked one was just mind blowing. I remember his gnarly compilation in THPS2. The fs flip from that clip should have made it in here as well.
I knew about street cab but damn I didn't know his bag of tricks was this big. True legend
this is incredible i never saw his street footage
My first board was a cab back in 93. I remember watching a lot of this footage probably 100 times over, good stuff!
Love Cabballero. Still the most stylish skater ever to live. 👌👌👌🌅
Steezer for a geezer ;) Love Cab. 100% pure skateboarder
CAB has always been my fave skater. Long live the Bones Brigade!
He truly is the skater of the 20th century. I own some of his artwork and it will only go up in value.
that 4:48 boardslide was probably the biggest ever
I remember for a while it was the longest backside boardslide for a long while
Cab is the coolest Dude alive!
Skateboarding was a much different animal back then. Very refreshing to see!
Power, precision and longevity. Sick.
4:15 beautiful frontside flip!
That’s not a frontside flip
Wish I still had the footage of him at a warped tour in NJ. Metal mini half. He was killing it all day. Lost footage to a flood
Cab is like a childhood hero to me, he can do bs/fs boardslides on long hand rails.
I shouldn't be impressed as i know about Steve for 27 years now, but i am.
so dam consistent and well rounded skater
legend, legend, legend
sick!
Della sua generazione e' stato uno dei pochi che e' riuscito a reinventarsi, superando il trauma del cambiamento dello skateboarding avvenuto nei primi anni '90.
I love this guy. I named my kid after him. Love his style, love is ride.
Greatest all rounder ever
it's so cool to see Cab doing Half Cabs
crazy how much skating's progressed since then. but still so entertaining too watch.
I knew he skated street pretty well, but I never knew he was THAT good. That was a lot more tech than I was expecting from Cab.
Caballero was my fav Powell pro back in the day, (back in the day was the 90s for me lol) but I was young, and loved Cab, one of my first boards when young was a Cab street deck I think it had the dragon, I would so like to see it again. And then I had a toy machine after that I think. If only I could remember all the boards I had when I was young. Such nostalgia
3:30 Earl Warren Middle School those banks still stand today!
Way to go, Stevie! That was pretty awesome footage reworked. Tricks for days, style for miles!
Cab and Mullen the 2 Bones Brigaders who made the legit transition to street effortlessly with no kook
Caballero legend
Long live street cab!
nice skating, funky music
Cab is a natural skater and one of the few that could flourish in any era. I would put him top 5. Hosoi, Cab, #1006 Hawk.
Freakin amazing.. this was my dream when I was younger...
Why does everyone seem so surprised that Cab has skillz on the street? He skated as much street as he did vert. Vert just got a lot more attention back then.
Legendary.
Steve already had a crispy tre flip when a lot of guys weren’t doing them.
His front boards are so sick!
Wow them fs flips are sick
U must be watching someone else. His fs flips are shit
cris lamont
Obvious troll is obvious
K91242 only a troll on shit or people that deserve it. You deserve it
*****
Dude I think you turned off your grammar on accident. Also, extra points for liking your own comment. You earned a burnt cookie
Brought back some memories
4:48
That lock-in is...
Geez, man. Wow!
Steve really really gnarly even vert and street. I just knew he has been a vert skater when I searched his name. (More Searching More greater He is) 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Not too shabby
Sick !!!! Steve caballero respect ...
Street Cab! 🤘👽🤘👽🤘👽
Impressive skating by a great all around skater. Cab is very adaptable on his board and it shows it as he adapted from vert kkb by lllllllll, where mostb80>)
Legend
Damn, Cab makes everything look good!
It's amazing how much skate evolved. Most of these tricks wouldn't fit into an am part nowadays.
Easily the best street style out of the classic bones "vert" guys. You look at old footage of Hawk skating street and he's flailing arms and legs everywhere. Stevie = smooth!!
Today nobody gives a crap about style including me and I’m a full time skater from 1985-2000
He wouldn’t even be considered an amateur these days but I give him a lot of respect because he is still skating and risking easier injuries and tougher recoveries because of his age.
Idk what you consider “amateur”…. Nothing different he did back then vs today especially on vert
nostolgic
Wow, this is a whole part. And the whole thing stokes me out as much as any of today's super gnarly/super tech pro's parts.
daaaang. so much style and killing it
wooooou!! me hizo recordar viejos tiempos!! yeah steve!!
best frontside flips butterz
Good old stevie cab, love his stable ass style.. dope !
Beautiful style
Im buying a pair of halfcabs after this
I knew street cab had tricks. I didn’t know he had this deep a bag.
Thats Whats up Old School Skateboarding . i met steve at its not dead fest i was kind of buzz tho hahah thats why we take pictures i guess.
poetry in motion! nuff said!
man I wish I could go back in time
Super solid and good
Probably the best street part for a dominantly vert skater.
2:15 to this day that spot still exists! that's crazy!
nah its in carlsbad, San Diego
I see this guy at Cunningham shreding the bowls but I never knew he skated street! Sick!
what a legend
esto es difrutar el skate al máximo esto es skate puro!
OG ATV
LEGEND.
amazing board slides
this is pure gold
This made me so happy
friggen rights he did!!!
i love when he grinds those long ass rails
so sick
Cab=skate hero!
Always loved his style. I would even tilt my head at school just to be like him (poser)
WTF those fs boardslides are fvcked!
FUCK YEAH CAB!
cris lamont why would you post such a gay comment?
+Thomas hosker my comment wasn't gay. You repeating it in an attempt to be clever, that was gay. Not a surprise from some bitch named thomas who posts horrible 5-0 videos. Take a hike thomas.
This edit is great. His style kind of reminds me of a mix between Chad Knight, Pat Chanita and Spock.
Only uglier and with shittier tricks
Had no clue homie was hitting double kinked board slides back in the day. Insane
well that got me pumped up. Time to go skate pulaski
What a beast!
This is epic! why is there a dislike?
posers that don't have a clue where skating came from.
Because he's a hunchback Jesus freak
damn cab has been a beast his whole life
