    Hi there,
Only just dicovered your videos+channel. Love the clear advice, enthusiasm and geniune love for the cati and for your viewers; that's great!
keep that great advice+enthusiasm going and the what not to does an do'nts!
I am new on to the cactus community, but since i have always grown cati since i was young and have always had a strong interest in succulents and strange and rare plants alike, I am now starting to accumulate some of my own new+rare clone cuttings, which oringally orginate from south Mexico an the mountains of Boliva; but which have been specially grown and cultavated under special conditions to keep these rare and beautiful plants, which for some, are nearly extinct in their own natural enviroment florishing and abundent!
I hope to gain an gather some more infomation and knowledge about these most rare an in need of help cactuses and start my own new channel to help other 'Catonuts' take interest of growing these rare plants themselvs; therefore helping keep these cati plentyful and back up in numbers- similiar to their counterparts.
Learning alot from all you all, even though i have just natrally grown these plants since i was young, i have done so uninformed. So in away, I am learning from scrath again! 🌵✌
Keep an eye out for my new channel and for those of you established; advice and support welcome!!
    As goes for the catuts

@@desertplantsofavalon thankyou for taking the time to reply, it was greatly appreciated!
It is evident you are of a great influece to many novices and exprienced growers alike, and i think that's great and comendable an demonstrates your knowledge!
It's great that a little common hardy plant and especially the rare ones, can bring people from all backgrounds from around the world together and in such a postive way; which is so rare in itself these days! However, your enthusiasm and positivety for these plants and your willingness to share it with other people, aswell as your clear deliverence an great videos; seems to inspire beyond your average reaction and reachers out to people to also become just as enthusiastic and interested in these great and hardy plants as yourself. I think thats great during an unstable time of uncertainty were people seem to only be able to communicate in such negative ways with eachother over mainly BS!
Anythink that encouragers positivity and positive communication amongst eachother, and brings ppl together with some kind of common ground should also be encouraged to grow as a community, as there is a need for people more than ever to have a common interest which provides a great platform with a cool and interesting topic!
Anyway, just thought i'd express my gratitude towards you and your efforts an hope to be able to inspire people on the same level as you clearly have over the years.
I will be starting with some of the most rare+unique cati, with great historical backgrounds, because i believe it's time to start informing and encouraging new growers for their rarity, uniqueness and the priviledge of having such great focal points of having such great novel focal points for conversation in their own homes. These cati have such a long heritage of rich history that was wrongly eradicated by invading people, enforcing there own dogmatictic religious beleifs upon the indigeous people of the land that used the cati as plant medicine and their shamens of course used some of these plants to reach higher levels of conciousness. As stated these plants have an historical influence and focal point unlike no other!
Anyway, i shall leave it there for now and hopefully draw some new viewers of my own in and provoke interest in these plants an hopefully inspire people to be intrigued enough to take on the challenge of growing these succulents for themselvs!
It would be great to create a new reimergenge and interest in growing the plethora of choice of all these different cati, all with their own unique value and history!
I shall look forward to speaking to you in the near future and hopefully you shall see some videos of my own which will hopefully be of interest to you and others.
It would be great to get any advice an feedback from yourself if you have the time of coarse!
Anyway bestwishers From a fellow catinut! Haha!
Takecare! and takecare to all who are reading this in these current times!
      Peaceout! John. ✌

If you ever have any extra of any of these types, or any weird globular types, I would love to start some seeds. Also; have you tried grafting at all? Pereskiopsis are full of glochids, and a pain in the neck to handle, but they grow very fast and grafting seedlings to them has really expediated growth for me. Hi, I was wondering if it is possible to plant a small cactus in the ground rather than a pot, if not, then when they get bigger is it possible?

Hi Luke :-) it all depends on where you live and what type of soil you have :-) if you live in a warm dry climate you can definitely plant a small cactus in the ground if you have well draining soil :-) but if not you would be best to keep your cactus in a pot unless you can find a position that is very well draining and kept away from frosts and temperatures below 4c during the Winter :-) thanks so much for your wonderful comment and for watching and sending you tons of love and heaps of happiness and tons of PLANT POWER from right across the Emerald Isle and have an FANTASTIC afternoon XXXXX
