@@benjamin-vx1uv it's actually a lot easier with a thick pick that has nice contours or bevels. They just glide over the strings with ease. Purpleplectrums also makes a jazz 3 size pick (besides the thickness which is 6mm and up).
The Dragon Heart also has a nice attack, while still delivering a good amount of bottom end. I was really surprised by how great it sounded in the vid!

I do sometimes wish they were a little bigger lately learning b.y.o.b they roll back in my grip sometimes and turn sideways or loose it all together.

with the plectrum if you notice on the initial “plucks”(hits sounds better) its more mellow and calm compareded to the classic pick which sounds crisp [said by some aidio nerd that doesnt play guitar]
I find that regular picks 70mm and above dont twack as much as thinner ones. Also the material makes a slight difference. I make my own picks using a pick punch. From credit cards or ice cream containers.

The material choice of purple gives a really appealing strumming sound to me. Its got so little of that "playing card being slapped by your bike tire spokes" sound and overall rounds that out. Very pleasant to listen to.

The purple plectrum is no doubt my favourite all across the board. Brings a warmth to the sound I can’t quite explain.
I can only play with medium gauge Dunlop Nylon picks and I refuse to learn anything else because I'm stubborn, old and angry.

I’m old too.... I use the Dunlop Tortex Jazz III shape. They used to be H3 but now I use 1.14 because I think they discontinued the H3

only because it was played after the purple nonsense... much less bright than the regular pick.
I personally prefer the sound of the regular pick in the acoustic but on the electric, i was surprised how much I liked the thicker pick. Great vid!
