There’s a misconception that Mariah is this big diva and therefore isn’t a nice person. Not true. She is the most down to earth, kind and grateful artist there is hands down. I’ve seen her go through police barricades to take selfies and sign for people. Her smile is warm and inviting and she listens and nods as if to acknowledge you. It’s unreal. She’s a beautiful person.

Queen Latifah is one of the best, most genuine human beings alive. I was on her show twice. The first time in 1999 and again in 2000 for a follow up. She saved me from going down a bad path in life. And I’ll never ever forget her and her kind, genuine words to me back stage that have stuck with me all these years. I wish I could see her again and tell her in person about the impact she had on my life. And how much I appreciate her taking the time to personally come back stage and talk to me and tell me I had so much potential, and that I could do so much in my life. And when she hugged me, it wasn’t this fake pat on the back hug. She embraced me and I felt her love and warmth. She’s just an amazing person and I’ll always adore her forever ❤️

I remember my sisters and I sang the national anthem at a radio convention on September 11 of 2002, (which was very emotional for us because we lost a cousin in the twin towers), and after we finished we were hugging each other backstage and heard a voice ask if that was us who just sang… we turned around to see Queen latifah standing there! And then she asked “who arranged those vocals, because I thought y’all were gonna go here and then yall took it there, and I was like damn!” I responded with “ I did Miss latifah” (my sisters made fun of me for calling her that😂)… but she was so sweet in a moment that we needed it most. Definitely a treasured memory of ours! Thank u Queen!
