Even if Guyger told the truth, she’s still a trigger-happy lunatic. Guyger walked into her neighbor’s apartment thinking it was her own. She claims that she issued “verbal commands” to a silhouette in a dark room and then started shooting into that dark room. If she had taken two seconds to look around, she would have known that she was in the wrong apartment. She didn’t. Guyger shot BEFORE thinking. That proves that she is extremely reckless. A panicky person with a gun and no sense of direction lives in that apartment building. The people who live there are in danger. If Guyger made that mistake once, she could it again. It’s a good thing that she moved out, but she might panic and shoot innocent people in her new location. The public is only safe if she is kept away from society.
"extremely reckless" doesn't warrant a charge of murder. She is being charged with manslaughter and it's the appropriate charge until the STATE can PROVE she acted with MALICE and FORETHOUGHT. Bail is her right. Thus establishing you a hysterical swooning moron. She was arrested, charged with the appropriate offense, for now, until the state can establish a stronger charge. Seriously - her story sounds bogus. What concerns me is that although there apparently is a lot of evidence from the locks themselves and from surveillance cameras, the cops have issued warrants for that data and I don't know how well that data is protected from tampering. So (God forbid but wouldn't surprise me) the cops could come out and say that Mr. Jean's lock was open - which I am not sure would be the truth unless there is some way to validate the data.
This is ridiculous as her saying that she was suicidal. "I was suicidal, and mistook his body as mine, and so I shot him instead of myself. It was merely a mistake Thank you.".

My friends from high school became electricians, and construction workers. 1/4 of the nurses in NYC hospitals are from the islands. I have worked in hospitals. His Mother has all my respect. She has been able to be amazingly strong, confident & so well spoken when most would be falling apart. She knows she has to be to get justice for her son. It's outrageous that Guyger had three days to scour her apartment and car before being searched. She should have been detained a search warrant issued that very night!

To mother God says vengeance is His. Don't depend on no man for justice. A police officer killed my son in November 1997 and said my son shot himself. I was upset and wanted justice just like you. God gave me a dream of my son floating in air in a white suit (I did not bury him in white suit) a person in a uniform (policeman) was watching him as he floated to heaven in this dream. I did not know GOD at that time I didn't even read the bible. That dream gave me soooo much peace it didn't matter if the policeman went to jail or not. In October of the next year that same officer was killed less than 6 blocks away from where he killed my son.
See how merciful God is tho? The Officer got time to repent. The same demons that influenced him caused him to die as God movef his hand of protection.

If any one of us mistakenly went into the wrong apartment & shot someone we would NOT be out on bail AND it certainly wouldn't have taken so long to issue an arrest warrant. But, on top of that, they issued a search warrant for the victim's apartment? Nothing about this makes sense. This shooting wasn't in the line off duty. She was off duty, doesn't that make her no different than you or I? The fact that she isn't in jail, charged with murder, boggles my mind. It sounds like he was such a good person & now they want to assassinate his character...THE VICTIM! It all sounds so suspicious. An officer who is trained to be alert went to the wrong apartment, yes, its possible...but so quick to shoot when you have a police radio? Also, how coincidental is it that they were so close in age (4 years difference)?
If this officer knew the victim, they didn't arrest her right away, giving her plenty of time to hide evidence. Then they issue a search warrant for his apartment & not her's?
Also, if I'm not mistaken, she was released on $300k bail...after killing a man??? Has anyone ever heard of bail being set so low for someone who committed homicide? Even if the current charge is only manslaughter, why was the bail set so low?

They are not investigating HIM; they are investigating the crime scene. How would you feel if they a) didn't investigate the crime scene and just took the officer's word for what happened, or b) searched the crime scene and found incriminating evidence against the police officer that shot him that was thrown out during pretrial on the grounds of being obtained without a warrant? Seriously, how would THAT make you feel? The warrant was necessary because unfortunately, the only person who could have given consent to the search is deceased.

I truly hope this travesty of justice does not continue, she murdered an innocent man in his own home and then to add insult to injury they try to vilify the victim by saying they found drugs in his home. Then in a move to secure a not guilty verdict they unlawfully "Arrested, Charged, and Arranged" her in the wrong county (Kaufman County, Texas) which is "NOT" where the murder occurred? By law the suspect is always "Arrested, Charged, and Arranged" in the county where the offense occurred (ALWAYS) which was "DALLAS COUNTY"?????

1. Were they involved in any type of relationship? Check phone records, social media, etc
2. Were any disputes reported by her to management staff with regard to any disturbances?
3. Are their any photos of him and her seen together?
4. Any cameras in the building being reviewed, any witness, her body camera, his or her phone, their friends, etc?
5. Any lights on during the shooting, was it just her firearm and flashlight used? If you see the door ajar, why not call for backup prior to entry instead of taking a chance with your life?
This case will be picked apart easily with so many unanswered questions.

During the time Amber was free and remains free she was given enough time to vacate her apartment and remove any evidence that could be used in trial.

I understand searching the victims apartment for a variety of evidence, as the victim's apartment was the crime scene. Other search warrants were issued for the door and lock of the victim's apartment, as well as the door and lock of the police officer's apartment. What I find most curious is that there was no warrant issued for the police officer's apartment that included a search for "any contraband, such as narcotics, and other items that may have been
used in criminal offense are located in the above described residence" as it was worded in the search warrant for the victim's apartment.
Because the cops are going to try as hard as they can to get her off. They can’t set the precedent for cops going to prison because cops are the catholics of government workers and would start going to prison left and right

I got to wonder about these "trained professionals". She was off duty so no body cam but if the room was dark when she entered why didn't she use a flashlight? Why did she need to step out of the apartment to give the address to police dispatch if she thought it was her apartment? If she realized she made a mistake in shooting this man why didn't she render aid and try and save his life? As a CHL holder there are 4 rules you must follow 1. Assume a gun is loaded 2. Never point a weapon at something you're not willing to destroy 3.Never put you finger on the trigger until you're ready to shoot 4 Be sure of your target and what's beyond it. So police officers are not obligated to follows these rules as civilians? She should be subjected to the same laws that she has sworn to uphold and not given a special pass.
