Hey NJ,
Alffy Rev is a young Indonesian who is well known for his continuous initiatives to bring Indonesia's national values and cultural awareness to the (younger) generation of Indonesians, through the creations of EDM x Pentatonic scale of Indonesian traditional music and sounds.
The backdrop in the opening is Mount Penanggungan (Indonesian, Gunung Penanggungan). Located in East Java, it is one of the dormant of five hundred active and dormant volcanoes in Indonesia. Geographically the entire region of Indonesia is part of what is known as Pacific Ring of Fire, as such about 127 of the five hundreds are active volcanoes.
Beyond its geological nature, Mount Penanggungan holds a significant importance in Indonesia's Javanese and Balinese spiritual and philosophical realm, as well as in Indonesia's pre-colonial period history. From the heel of the mountain up to its summit lies significant numbers of archeological sites and artefacts from the 12th to 16th centuries of Indonesia's Hindu-Buddhist pre-colonial era.
The video itself is shot at the Main Hall of an Outdoor Training Centre of one of the prominent Private University in East Java; part of its third campus facility. The building where the shot was taken (0.54 - 2.24) is a traditional (Central) Java architecture called Joglo. The name "Joglo" itself is a portmanteau of Javanese words "Tajug" (meaning mountainous) and "Loro" (meaning two). If you google Joglo houses it will show that its roof is made of two sections of roof. The architecture symbolizes a mountain of which in Javanese, Balinese and most Indonesia's ethnic groups is considered as a sacred entity.
