Playing My First Guitar Again

Here's a short clip of me playing one of my own riffs on my first guitar ever, I thought I'd upload this as a bit of a surprise and it's the first time in about a year or so I've given it a go. It's an Artist LP60, I think you can all guess what the "LP" stands for, and the story goes a bit like this...
After I turned 18 (4 and a bit years ago now) I decided to get back into music properly again, after having a handful of Piano and Acoustic guitar lessons when I was younger. I can't say I enjoyed the lessons on either instrument, because it felt forced and sucked all the fun out of it for me personally.
It was after watching "Stop Making Sense" for the millionth time I paid close attention David Byrne's rhythm playing and the guitar he was using on "Slippery People". I wanted to see if there were any guitars that were a similar sort of shape/look to that guitar which was actually a Roland G-303.
Instead I found the Les Paul one way or another. My logic at the time was, "Well it looks like his guitar, so it must sound the same." After doing some more research I learnt a bit more about Les Pauls and then discovered the insane prices of the real things. However, after digging some more I found the cheap alternative from Artist and thought it was too good to be true. Sure enough the practice package they sold was $300 at the time, including the amp that I'm still using for these recordings. The entire foundation of my playing has been developed on this guitar. I owe all I know to it really, even if that knowledge is very limited.
The conversion to Telecasters happened later on, after listening to Johnny Greenwood and Johnny Marr, then finally seeing the light with Graham's playing in Blur, I knew I had to have one because they all played one at some point or used one as their main guitar.

It’s an Artist LP60, a Chinese made replica of a Gibson Les Paul :)
