  • Reality star Todd Chrisley arrived at a Florida federal prison to begin his 12-year sentence for bank fraud and tax evasion. His wife, Julie Chrisley, reported to a different prison to start her seven-year sentence. The couple's new reality is a far cry from their extravagant lifestyle on "Chrisley Knows Best." Federal prosecutors say those luxuries were funded by $30 million in fraudulent bank loans.

Instead of sending them to prison, confiscate their cars, house(s), jewelry etc and make them work at Walmart & live in low income housing. For ppl like them I’m sure that would almost seem like death.

Todd doesn't need any type of TV show from behind bars because he would quickly become a prison celebrity. The warden would be asking for his autograph, the correctional officers would be asking for his autograph and photos, he would be given special privileges, inmates would be doing special favors for him, etc. Todd needs to serve out his prison sentence just like every other inmate.

How did these 2 characters rack up $30 million in fraudulent bank loans? If anything, the loan officers, whom processed their loan applications, should be the first to be investigated. Any loan officer, whom doesn't do their due diligence by checking out everything on the application, should no longer be in a position where he/she can make decisions this big.

I feel terrible for both of them. Crime or not, law or not, they didn't exactly hurt anyone physically, and they sure as hell didn't rob a bank and held somebody at gunpoint. The more I grow up, the more I realize that getting a 12 YEAR sentence for "Tax evasion" and "bank fraud" is absurd. Punishment for crimes exist for a reason, okay, but it shouldn't be a prison sentence. How about home arrest, or, I don't know, something different? This is going to sound controversial, but I do think that this world needs a better system in general. I just can't imagine spending 12 years behind bars because, well, I didn't give my money to the government. The bank fraud, sure, but I'm sure he would have been able to pay that, or at least a portion of it back to the bank.

If it is bank fraud then people just think to themselves that it's the bank's loss and not theirs buttttt if you have a mortgage, credit card or anything else with a bank inevitably the loss of money to the bank will come from ordinary Americans who bank with them in regard to increased fees here and there.Banks never lose and if they get frauded by a guy like this they will make up their losses by charging ordinary people more to use their services.

FPC Pensacola, a minimum-security facility in Pensacola, Florida, has been labeled as one of the “cushiest” in America. The facility, which opened in 1988, is usually reserved for white-collar crime that includes wire fraud, mail fraud and healthcare fraud.Prominent defense attorney, Allan Ellis, described the prison as a “pretty laid-back experience,” and idles more along the lines of a “camp.”Perks of the prison include inmates getting to play racquetball, volleyball and horseshoes. They can even gather in the prison theater for movie night.
