Good luck chasing down whatever the electrical problem is hopefully just a loose connection somewhere. I would recommend walking away for a while chilling with a beer and coming back with a fresh head another day.I used to have an irrational love of Italian bikes three morinis and a Guzzi later an Aprilia cured me of it . Zero parts backup and a poor finish I gave up and bought a Hinckley Triumph which meant I no longer had a fix it list or had to constantly tinker with the bike to keep it running .I hope your Aprilia doesn’t mean you give up and walk away like I did.
Hope you get it sorted Wow!and ithought i was cursed with my zl400 car rubbers 😉keep on at it im sure theres a connection loose somewhere take it easy lad
Time out, fresh start - sage advice from an armchair, sorry! Here's willing it to be a connector issue (as opposed to anything more complex!). Worth pursuing IMO and you did mention it's a bit quick, so fun to be had once sorted. Cheers, Andy.
That sounded shedloads better. I think you have a crappy connection somewhere possibly clocks and switch gear area. But it did sound so much better. I also noticed in that software you can reset the self learning (I assume back to default), this would trigger the self learning for air to fuel
Looks like a plugs just disconnected itself when you've been wrestling the front cowl back. As for the engine temp that's about right, I'd be looking anywhere between 85 & 105c.
I notice Nat that you always strap the clutch in to stop it rattling is that not going to put excessive wear on the clutch plates or not?just seen the end of the vid Nat that bloody bike is cursed 😂
sleep on it Nat,,, i do fear that bike will always have some gremlins that will kick you in the backside at any time, spares or repairs it out, there must be someone out there that could use the parts,
Don't give up it's all a learning curve the display was there til you touched stuff just relax come back with a fresh mind and it will probably be something silly
I've just bought a 2009 shiver, (without test riding it, not recommended!) first ride coughing and spluttering at high revs, 7-8000 rpm, then rough running, changed the speed sensor, now fixed L , symptoms are speedo erratic and gear indicator stop working as they run off the gearbox and confuse the electronics? Hope this helps no error codes either! Mine only has 1700 miles on as well!! Apparently they play up as well cos water gets in the connection plugs Just watched the laptop video and mine sounded very similar when revved Check the shitty clutch switch on the lever isn't stuck as well Ps it’s a right B*+€tard to change
Sorry to see the bikes still giving you trouble but I do enjoy and get a lot of tips from your vids so keep in there !
Thanks for the support mate. It's needed at times like this!
I remember the good ole days, when you could fix a bike with a bag of spanners and a hammer 😁
and gaffer tape
Define 'fix', lol.
@@NatsNackersYard The situation you are in with that bike?😂
I am getting very close to 'fixing it' with a hammer! 🔨🏍️💩
@@NatsNackersYard and a match.

Time will tell I suppose
Have two Aprilias never had a problem
Lucky you!
@@NatsNackersYard Nat, who's OBD2 plug thing are you using, please ?
@@NatsNackersYardI have no fault codes showing but my red triangle and EFI warnings are lit, but no discernable faults...

Cheers dude. I will stick with it I I think.
My caponord etv1000 never let me down and always sounded like a beast. Hope I get a shiver with the same luck
Thats a shame. It's overly electrical this bike I'm thinking. They have become super complex.
Hopefully you will find the fault soon Nat.
Let's hope so mate. It's driving me nuts.

A break from each other may help. Fortunately work has been super busy!
sure that grey multiplug is in fully, looks out on the left ? you will sort it Nat 👍
We will see. Walking away is often the best move.

Looking at a 2014 750 Shiver, with 6500 km’s as a first bike. But after this video, re-thinking it…
Good idea!
Nat I have some welding books 📚 do you have a post office box so I can send them to you
No po box but drop me a line at natsnackersyard@gmail.com mate
We all been there Nat. I did sell my other project cos it pissed me off. Fill better now it’s gone. Keep trying Nat your get there in the end . ❤🏍️😡
Thanks mate.

I have given it a good break!
Ah Aprillia, the gift that keeps on giving lol. Tbh I think you’re worrying needlessly, got to be just a loose connection on the dash pod.
We will see I suppose.
Just leave it a while Nat and get back to it when you have the inkling 👍
That's the plan mate!
@@NatsNackersYard A bit of a long shot but maybe disconnecting the battery and reconecting might reset it all ?
Never rule out a simple solution!
Good old England,so happy i left
I have lived outside of the UK several times but always enjoy coming back.

And that's why I don't buy Aprilia's 🙃
Not sure that I will be doing it again!
Looks so nice, but I've heard it's an unreliable bike...
It was certainly my bogey bike
It's the Fiat of the motorcycle world. Great untill they stop. Then your in a world of pain. Good luck and carry on it's only a motorcycle 🤣
Fix It Again Tony!
