🔍 Unlocking the Hidden Wisdom of Jesus:
Jesus, the prefect example of of humility, chose a path of hidden greatness. Even during the years preceding His apostolate, He veiled His omnipotence and wisdom. Throughout His public life, He adapted to the imperfect ways of His Apostles, showcasing true humility despite His infinite superiority.
    🌿 The Hidden God's Lesson:
Jesus, the hidden God, imparts a timeless lesson through His example-emphasizing the immense value of a concealed life. His humility shines through in every aspect, teaching us the beauty of a life lived away from the spotlight.
    🤝 Imitating Jesus' Humility:
To emulate Jesus' perfect humility, we're called to partake in His hidden life. This entails veiling everything within us that might attract undue attention or praise, steering clear of distinctions that could set us apart. Let's flee from the allure of recognition and strive for the profound humility demonstrated by our Savior.
🙏 Join us in this Lenten journey as we reflect on humility, shun pride, and embrace the hidden life exemplified by Jesus. May this reflection guide us towards a deeper understanding of Lent's transformative power. #Lent #Humility #Reflections #HiddenLife #JesusExample 🌿

Wow Ken, this message was right on time for me. I have been feeling so unnoticed and unappreciated by my spouse & others lately. I guess it is the pride in my heart making me feel this way. I know that I am a good person and I continue to strive to grow closer to our Lord & Savior. I know that I do not "live alone" and I feel His presence. Thank you for your videos and your time that you give to us! God bless you & Janelle & your entire family.

What stood out to me “work for the sole end of pleasing God, never looking for any human praise… To live alone with God alone.” This requires humility at the most highest level 🙆🏽‍♀️🥰

This is great Ken. Yesterday I was reminded of this on the supermarket line. Many times when I say hi to the cashier I don’t get much of a response but the same cashier may be yapping and laughing with another customer. I pray the Litany of Humility daily like Janelle and as I stood on the cashier line anticipating the same situation, I was asking Mom about it and if the problem is that I’m not being “myself” with people and She reminded me of the part of the Litany which says: “that others may be esteemed more then I, that others may be noticed while I’m unnoticed…” So i smiled knowing that God was working to build my humility. And I actually ended up talking to the cashier to take interest in what he had to say. I guess some of the other times I was self seeking and insecure which is actually pride. Thank you for these valuable lessons!

You have such an amazing talent for, like Jesus, giving a deep message in the form of a relatable parable to help it make sense.
This certainly is an important message, but very difficult to properly deliver in today's"ME" culture.
I think the WAY you explained it gets an uncomfortable message across perfectly. Thanks.

Wow Ken! Did this talk ever resonate with me this morning. We live in a world that encourages self love and selfishness. It is so easy to get “wrapped” up in the world. However, you have reminded us as Jesus does that we were not meant for this world. We are here to follow in Jesus’ footsteps even at the cost of personal persecution . Thank you for this superb talk!

Hi Ken! I have been enjoying all your videos but I am not usually much of a commenter, but this one in particular may help me in a struggle that I go through almost every time I go to Mass. It was two years ago on Ash Wednesday that I felt that the Lord was strongly asking me to wear a chapel veil when I am before Him. I was stunned! I questioned why because I needed reassurance and this answer was because it shows Him that I want to be humble before Him. That was enough for me, and in obeying my conscience I started wearing a veil. The problem is that no one else at our parish veils so I am afraid of drawing attention to myself and that is the LAST thing I want to ever do, especially at Mass! I am like St. Therese in the was that I would prefer to sink into the cracks than be noticed. Maybe it's pride or vanity that causes me to feel self-conscious, I don't know. All I know is that when I am before the Lord on judgment day, I don't want to hear Him say, "I asked you to do this little thing for Me and you were a coward!" Yikes! I do veil and each time it put it on I say, "This is for You, my dear Jesus."

This is not a hard lesson for me to understand and accept. It leaves me in a bit of a conundrum though. I am a singer and I make money doing shows and performances. I am wondering why I do it. I guess it’s because it’s the only thing I’m very good at.
    But is that wrong?
Thanks for the thought provoking video. God bless ❤

You are honoring God with your gift of music and giving joy to others. If this is the venue that you understood God leading you towards, it is legitimate.

    • @Catholicspeaker
      @Catholicspeaker  3 місяці тому +3

Thanks for the thought. I've consider the same thing. My thought is sometimes, to fulfill our duties and calling, it requires the attention of others. I think this is legitimate. Some saints had a tremendous amount of attention from others during their life (but they didn't live for it). But when I am seeking this attention for my own pride and fulfillment, this is when I am wrong. ... I could be wrong in my assessment, this is part of my journey as well.
