We used to say that if Michael Jackson and James Brown had a baby, it would be Prince. I never compare MJ to Prince, even tho they were huge during the same time period. Prince was most definitely considered top tier ladies man back in the day. He always had a beautiful woman on his arm and dated a few high profile ladies in music and Hollywood. He was a balance of masculine and feminine--a true gemini. Men often questioned his sexuality; women mostly just wanted to sleep with him. But just about everyone loved his Purple Rain album and his numerous hits spanning 1979-1992. BTW, he did all that dancing in high-heeled boots as was usual for him when he performed. Prince was honestly one of the most skilled figures in music, as a multi-instrumentalist, singer and tremendously prolific songwriter. I would recommend at some point you check out more of his songs. His incredible vocal range is on display with his mid-nineties hit ballad, "The Most Beautiful Girl In The World." He is also a virtuosic guitarist (and quite skilled on piano and bass as well). Prince is one of the more unconventional pop starts in music and he loved to push boundaries, experiment, and subvert expectations.
For anyone who has never heard music from Prince from the bottom of my heart please check out this talented artist. Purple Rain is very popular. But he did some theme music for the Batman movie when Michael Keaton played Batman. The music for that movie shows another layer to this man’s ability. Listen and enjoy. Rest in Power 💜💜
