Beautiful property. Enjoy the truck. Kind of funny buying a 90K truck at your age because the exhaust sounds cool. Kind of like a 19 year old kid buying the mustang 5.0 back in the day. Enjoy the wheels.
Thank you for the business once again Doug, it was a pleasure and lot of fun going over your new GMC Sierra AT4 with you!
Thanks Troy and thanks for helping with this video!!
That is a sweet ride. Love the exhaust
Love my 2020 AT4 its been an amazing truck and no issues for the 4 years that I had it
Great looking truck. I’m a Ford guy but GMC makes awesome trucks. My nephew has the new AT4 and loves it. Many happy miles to you!
Very Nice truck.
To each his own - It comes with lots of cool do-dads that I personally would probably rarely use (or forget how to turn on 😀)
I love my AT4 . I ordered mine just to get the 6’ bed and crew cab.. a must have combo..
Beautiful truck, and the all the extra camera features will be useful too I am sure. Love the opening clip rippin’ ‘er up the driveway. And I love the colour ! My Dad is like you, he loves red! He’s on his second F-150 and both have been their darker red.
Beautiful truck! I like your honest opinion. I’ve owned one ford myself. I am definitely a GM guy.
Hi Doug.
Great choice!!!
Wife and I bought a 2023 gas GMC 3/4 ton at4 last year. We use it to pull our 8000 lbs Rv. We love it so far.
Have a Jesus filled day everyone Greg in Michigan
Ps ours has the 6.6 L and no I don't want to race😮😁
Oh, and ours is RED
I own a 23 F150 Tremor 3.5 and this really sounds awesome. Best stock sounding v8 on the market. Congrats it is a great truck
Thanks!
I love GMC trucks! I am amazed at the changes throughout the years. I have a 2016 Canyon with a Duramaxl. I love all of the new features your truck has. Im glad you got yours what with the strike and all. Keep us posted! See you in the next installment.
Sounds great! Enjoy, I drive a '22 AT4 6.2 and always wanted a Raptor
Great looking new truck. GMC has come a long way.
Nice pickup, Doug. Enjoy it.
Great truck Doug best of luck with her! If you run out on your data plan, just hot spot your phone to the truck for your Google maps, etc. I am picking up my new 24 Sierra this week!
Your sales guy knows his stuff, almost a forgotten art. Great looking truck, I know you will enjoy,
He sure does. I was very pleasantly surprised with all he was able to explain about the truck.
Thx Shane after almost 19 years I’ve finally learned some stuff!
Keep up the good work brother. They are lucky to have you.@@troydonovan7822
Sweet looking ride ,love it sounds awesome!
Nice truck Doug. I love the sound of it. Stay safe and healthy. Bill H from Cranberry Township
That color is great! I had to laugh when the dealer said the headliner is scoped out, so if you are 6' 5" , you'll be able to ride back here. ha ha Adam.
Congratulations on the new truck Doug!! It is a nice looking one!! I am with you on the color I will always buy any color that’s white!!😂😂😂
Holy Crap Doug.... 378 cubic inches & 420hp!!! in a 1/2 ton !!! Better put some weight in that rocket ship for winter!! Love it!
Congrats! Solid video. I have the 2021 GMC Sierra AT4 (6.2L) in red. For full "giddy-up" I use 91-octane + 8oz of race fuel (each, non-ethanol). You can run lower octane, but the 6.2L will roar if you can get the octane up to 93-95 octane (read the section in the owner's manual). The difference is VERY noticeable. Have fun!
Thanks for that tip!!!
Congratulations, Doug. That's a beautiful truck and sounds awesome! I enjoyed watching you race down your driveway so we can hear the sport mode exhaust. Looks like it can really haul arse! Impressive mileage on your 2018 raptor!
Nice truck! I have a 2021 AT4 with the diesel. Absolutely love it!
Good to hear!
Just picked up our black AT4...love the vehicle. I had a 2011 raptor with the 6.2and it was a beast. Super dependable but very thirsty. Warranty is good on the GMC and 3 year data plan with wifi comes with the vehicle.
Congratulations, I’m enjoying mine also!
Very nice, hope that 6.2L lifter issue has been fixed. Good luck. 👍🏻
I was told that it was not a problem in the 2024’s 🤞
I have a 2019 Ford Raptor and just drove a GMC AT4 1500 with the 6.2 V-8 and really liked the GMC but the 24 gallon fuel tank was a deal killer. The 36 gallon tank on the Raptor is really nice when towing.
Nice choice Doug, now Adam will say neighbour Doug is on the road again. Now you can have some American Graffiti fun at stop lights. Like you mentioned you’ve opened up some new capabilities with this Truck that will add Smiles to your Neighbour Doug Skills as you travel the Miles. 😀👍👍👍
Best of luck with the new Jimmy. I would have liked to see the adjustable seat for Autumn. I know your going to be the one who uses the truck the most but, it's nice to see if there other features also. Also, anything underneath like suspension? Best Wishes. 🤠
Those GMC’s are the best looking truck on the road. I love my 2018 Tundra but I’m looking at the new AT4’s with the 3.0 Duramax
I have a new Denali Ultimate with the LZ0. Around town I average around 25-26mpg on the highway I get around 35mpg but I have seen as high as 40mpg.
@@JesseLJohnson the fuel mileage of the 3.0 Duramax and the and the looks of those GMC’s are a home run.
Don’t do it that Toyota reliable
Nice truck, never thought of the tax advantages selling versa trading in.
Thank You
I ordered my 2024 AT4 in thunderstorm gray about a month ago and then GM went on strike. It may be awhile before I get it, but I just love the look and sound of this truck.
Dang, that sucks!!
Good luck!
Am so happy to see another sensible person staying away from the EVs and going with what works and will continue to work. I like the animation of your logo at the intro it is a great animation and logo..
Thank you!
Congratulations Doug, Sweet Ride!👍🏼🇺🇸
Thanks 👍
Beautiful truck! Im the same way...out of warranty I get rid of them. Been traumatized by electric gremlings and bad transmissions putting fixes in the $5-10k range. Im not handy enough to fix complex stuff and Im very busy at work, the little time I have I want to spend it with my family not fixing a car.
Doug, I get the point about trading in due to the factory warranty. These vehicles are really laid out with all the comfort features but a regular DIY guy ain't gonna be able to fix em!
It would be nice if manufacturers would just make a regular truck! Good ole wind down windows with side vents , heater with 3 position fan switch. But that ain't never gonna happen!! Lol
But you do have a nice ride! Enjoy!
Wish you all the best with the new truck doug
All these new trucks are really next level, hard to go wrong on a new truck these days! Did he mention you have to have a plan to lock unlock your truck with your phone? That would suck, I use this often with my ford app.
Perfect choice, you should develop a Doug version of a semiautomated undercarriage wash so you can drive your truck year round in any condition. Could use to clean equipment also, I would if I lived in the rust belt. I hate using a truck as a daily driver as well, complete waste of resources but nothing replaces the capability of a truck. My trucks have always had a hitch ball on 24/7 and that's mostly what I use them for. I generally don't buy anything newer than 8-10 years old because at 10 years and older registration and insurance drastically decreases where I am. You were definitely gambling keeping that Ford longer than 5 years even with the low mileage.😂
I bought a new Denali Ultimate recently. I got the LZ0 though. Not like I had a choice at the time it was the only Ultimate I could find within 100 miles. Not sure I shouldn't have just got the 3/4 ton. I didn't know a 3/4 ton Ultimate existed when I got mine. I do already have another crew cab 8 foot 3/4 ton though and the 1/2 tons ride so much nicer for an everyday truck. I really like the LZ0 though. Crazy fuel mileage. When I run back and forth to home in SC to the other house I am at right now which must be pretty close to you since Titusville is pretty damn close to here. I got on average 35mpg on the 2 long trips I have taken from up here to back home or home to up here whatever. I have got as high as 40mpg. Actually thinking about maybe replacing my 19 Suburban with a new High Country Suburban, Yukon XL Denali Ultimate, or the Suburban length Escalade with the LZ0. I think in 24 they will have the LZ0 at least pretty sure 23 still had the LM2.
Congratulations on your new truck, hope you can enjoy it for many moons
I hope so too!
Good looking truck Doug. Sounds good too.
That active exhaust sounds AMAZING that’s the only thing I don’t like about my 2023 Sierra AT4X it sounds like an EV exhaust compered to the new 2024 Active exhaust!
THE weirdest thing happened during the viewing of this video🤔 VERY First time ever, your dealer was going through the features of the onboard computer and said OK-- Google 😂🤣 MY PHONE went into ok Google search 🤣😂 and pulsed the video! Way to funny neighbor Doug.
Hahahaha, that’s great!
Hey Wait! is this the channel that discusses value for your purchase or up-build??? Guess not, OMG what the heck ~ Wholly Kow! Thanks for keeping the economy going! Good Luck with it and O. I am looking at a 2000 GMC Z71(whatever that means) it has 99,600 miles, gonna be the wood truck to pull the trailers. We will see if the purchase goes through...again Keep it rollin' Go GMC!
I have a 2021 Denali. I've been thinking about going to look at new AT4s.
I have a 23 SLT , it’s an awesome truck
Congratulations on the new truck Doug, Cool video Carl FONDEROSA FARMS MD
Thanks 👍
I would require a 24 hour tech support hot line button , for sure.
Similar to the one that the astronauts have.
Absolutely beautiful truck Doug, wishing you many happy miles and smiles 😊 your so lucky in the states to have such beautiful large trucks unlike here in Ireland .
Just a couple of years ago you could get one of these trucks in cardinal red which is the red that you lean towards?
My dream truck, DANG wish I could afford it
I'm fairly brand agnostic, but I had a 2019 Ford Edge ST. Great vehicle, quick (330HP, 330TQ), and super comfortable, but I did NOT want to be owning it when the warranty ran out. Didn't have any issues with it, but given all the electronics, twin turbos, etc, if something did break you know it would be expensive. About the same time we bought our farm, and it's also not a practical farm vehicle. Traded it for a 2021 Ford Ranger, and went the trade route for similar reasons. It actually took 5 months for them to get the Ranger, as I had to order it for the configuration I wanted. I kinda forgot about until they called me and I was "I ordered a truck? Oh, right, 5 months ago...". Pretty happy with the Ranger, although I miss a couple amenities the Edge had that weren't available on a Ranger.
lol 6.6 or nothing
New technology in nearly 6 years is nice, like the charger but forward camera especially when you can’t see over the bonnet.
I love the look of your Ford Rapter 2018, I’m sure you’ll miss it....😊
I. Sure the Dealer will make good money on your 2018 Raptor🧐
$20,000 extra sounds great but only 3 year warranty is a bit low, they don’t see:to back their vehicles and you’ll be in the same position in 3 years than 5.😢
I went from a gen2 raptor to a 21 at4 with 3.0. I miss my raptor.
Me with my 23 f-150 I got in august already at 5k miles 😅
I come from a GM family and I've always been the black sheep a Ford lover lol. That AT4 does look like a hell of a truck I think fits your needs alot more a better hauler worker truck probably.
My truck list went from a 84 F150 to a 97 GMC Sierra then a beat up 2000 Silverado now back to a 95 F150 XLT as my work truck, Wife has a 2017 Ford Explorer XLT and my daily driver is a 2006 Ford Explorer XLT. Had a Dodge between the GM trucks but I refuse to say I owned a Dodge product worst experience I've had lol
I'm a Ford guy threw and threw 😆. Loved the video!!
Thank you
Sorry to hear about your loss: Raptor LOOKS AWESOME !!!!
Raptors are trash.
Beautiful truck, i have a 1500 SLT, but can't afford the new truck payments. lol
I like the new wheels nice upgrade
Welcome to the club.
Congratulations 🎉
I really like the styling of these Doug, and the new display screens on the dash… ❤
Hey, how long is your driveway? I appreciate that acceleration clip you posted in the beginning. 😎
It is about 800’ long. Yea, that truck sounds really good.
Congratulations, GMC is most incredible and capability vehicle in the world .
I have a 2021 GMC 2500 with the 6.6 gas engine it just turned 100,000 miles with 0 problems.Solid 19 mpg all around around
Thanks for this! Everyone else in life is so quick to point out the problems, and everything that is wrong with every vehicle in the world!
@@OneEyeCustoms U bet
My next truck. I am waiting to find a nice used one.
Shoulda bought it in 3.0L! Also you bought their BEST color. Love the Tit Rush!!
That's a nice looking truck. All those electronics have me concerned about longevity though, especially if driven in a harsh winter climate. Looks like you're enjoying it already.
If it makes you feel better I have a 2019 ram Laramie and all of the electronics still work. All of them I’ve had the truck for 5 years
@@johnmorris77 Problem is the GM electronics SUCK. Had a Tahoe that was an electrical nightmare and the funny thing is when I bought it my Cousin who had the same Tahoe said oh lord you bought a new GM get ready for the electrical gremlins.
@@BrandonBigB956my 2003 gmc has heated seats memory seats dual climate control it had all sorts of electronic issues i would imagine they improved by now
Those ❄️ be rough
Sounds great
So far, no truck hasn't replaced how Ford Raptor is . Dodge TRX Is very close!
love that truck!!!
Congrats pretty truck
Thank you!
I really like these trucks. Just wish they rode as nice as the raptor.
I agree, but this one is very close!!!
That the bells and whistles you're paying for up front come with a subscription...that's just that typical great GM feeling that will keep me away from them for another 20 years.
9000lb payload? Holy cow, thats amazing!
Tow capacity. Payload is less than 2000 lbs.
If I ever drop my 350, GMC is one my front runners. The column shifter is a requirement for me in my trucks though. If I'm reaching for the console to shift, it better be manual.
Good point!!
Nice pickup enjoy
Make sure you Krown undercoat that truck if your in a high roadsalt zone. That frame has wax on it and not paint. Nice rig.
Thanks for the tip!!
Beauty truck Doug. Welcome back to the GMC/Chevy side. I just bought a 2019 Silverado 2500 LTZ Z71 with the 6.6 Duramax. It's replacing my 2008 Silverado 2500 LTZ Z71 with the 6.0 gas. I'll be picking it up this week. It's not quite as high tech as your 2024 for it's a whole lot more high tech than my 2008. Dave
I love my 2021 AT4.
Haha, the salesman said you can run a circular saw off the 400 watt inverter. No. No you can't.
You are correct I guess I never knew circular saw(s) pulled so much wattage. Scratch that comment.
400W max off that plug in bed
Nice truck, would probably not enjoy the price/payments/insurance cost !
Glad it will work for you :-))
V8s are harder and harder to find. No fan of electric, hybrid, or turbo (stresses engine) pickup trucks so you did good there Doug! But then again (and I hate to say this), the Toyota trucks way outshine GM and Ford. At least they used to until they eliminated the V8 option a year or two ago.
Yes can’t believe you can’t get the v8 in the tundra anymore. Turbos and small engines are a terrible mix for a full sized truck.
I really like the GMC trucks. My idea, in a year time, to go for the Denali or Chevy High Country. I never cared for Ford. My father always said, Ford builds quantity, not quality. If I can't touch a new truck, I will go for 2 years old, cert, one owner, dealer serviced. Maybe save some good green along the way. Good luck.
who doesn't like the sound of V8, lol........what is the world coming too
one of the sweetest sounds ever
Very nice!!
Hey Doug, I saw your Honda Element on Adams last video. What year is it? I couldn't find any pics of your car at all.
It is a 2005, am I love that thing!
So can u find out if theirs any custom parts on the new FallGuy truck for fall guy the movie comes out in may
Great video
Thanks!
I really like that dash layout, I like the design where it has the wide screens yet still gives tactical knobs for quick easy adjustments… and it looks great. What a truck Doug! How you liking it?
Loving it!!
What an upgrade! Nice truck just don't understand why they have to have such a short bed, but of you have a trailer its not a problem. Trucks came a long way
If you go to the dealership its like 90% crew cabs with the shorter beds. I prefer the double cabs with the bigger bed. It's an testament of trucks being used less for work.
You can still get the 6.5 foot bed with a crew cab but you will most likely have to order it. Rarely do you see them on the lot at dealerships. Some of it depends on which trim you buy too. I have the Denali Ultimate and the only options you really have to pick from is paint color and 6.2 or LZ0 Duramax. Everything else comes standard and they all come with the shorter bed and crew cab. If I got a High Country though I could have got the 6.5 foot bed and I could have got I think 3.73 if you get the max tow package. I like the interior of the Ultimate better one of the main reasons I bought the one I did.
I’ve got the standard bed on my Sierra, and I could never pick a short bed truck again. I got lucky as I found mine new sitting on a lot in Wyoming. No parking sensors to go bad, but I still got the rear sliding window and heated and ventilated leather with dual zone climate and no dynamic fuel management from factory and I absolutely love it!
Id prefer the Silverado ZR2. ZR2 has a better suspension with same drivetrain and equipment for similar money. This is more like if the the trail boss had an LTZ trim.
Holy shit. 9000 lbs payload on a 1500? That’s a record for sure!
Most definitely doesn’t have a 9,000 lb payload. Towing capacity is around that. Payload is less than 2,000 lbs.
@@AB-coyote thanks captain obvious
Love it!
Thanks!!
These new trucks are just pretty awesome machines! I currently have a F-150 but I don't really care about the name on the hood thing I think all 4 of the main truck manufacturers here in the US are making incredible trucks
I’ve driven them all. They are all fantastic if you’re coming from something 2013 or older
You are going to have mad neighbors!
Also Authorities are putting cams to detect decibel of noise.
Do you have a little shooting range on your property? That would be badass. Looks like you got tons of space and privacy for one
Well Doug I think you just made Adam jealous a little bit ❤😊😮
Can you do a video where you set up a camera in/on your trailer then haul it all the way to Hometown Acres' place? Asking for a friend...
Lol
I owed a 2019 and a 2020 Ford Raptor and sold both of them. I have a Tundra now and love it.
