I had the pleasure of meeting him twice and both times he was the coolest funniest guy ever. He gives off a big brother type feeling, always playfully bullying you or cracking lame jokes. Best thing about meeting him was that the first time I met him he joked that I looked like a biker with a full beard and shaved head then a year later he remembered who I was and that I grew my hair out and cut my beard.

I always found it pretty silly that everyone used to call Cruz the best mind in mma. Personally if you watch DC doing color commentary, nobody is more accurate than him. Cruz makes a whole lot of mistakes and predictions during a fight commentary. DC is usually extremely accurate and sees the intricacies of each engagement with a very accurate and discerning eye. DC likes to joke but he has a far more brilliant MMA mind than he's given credit for.

The atmosphere in the gym is highly competitive and trash talk, but at the same time very friendly and family oriented.

DC was criticizing him about that, also he use to swing like a Savage and used unorthodox ways of punching, which DC was trying to correct by trying to teach him a proper jab. That's why he was like everybody knows but can't do anything about it. I personally think Khabib should stick to his Savage way of fighting and not get mixed up by the professional way cause that's what gets him those wins, if it's not broken then don't fix it. But I think he'll need to learn to utilize his legs/striking more if he does decide to rematch Connor.
