    I was only thinking about pruning my Pyrus (ornamental pear) last week and wondering if timing was ok. As its been a bit mild lots of plants have started into growth. So excellent timing for this video and great to remind me on terminology.

    Hi is it the same as Apple and Pear Trees ?

      Yes, fruit trees require shaping and thinning when they are dormant in winter. With fruiting trees the goal is usually to have good airflow and an open canopy.
