Got to myth for the 1st time with this deck. I made some changes, added Elspeth smith x3 for early removal vs aggro and removed 1 whale and 1 temp lock. Try as it best fits you. Thank you very much Sloth! Love ur videos.
I recommend soul partition in this deck, so you can sometimes bounce your own temporary lockdown again and again, it’s also really good to deal with ossification and token decks. 😊
That's a very good call - I actually added it during deckbuilding - but wasn't sure what to remove :) So in the end, I decided "it's fine" 😂 Yeah, there's also great synergies all around with emperors, Jace etc, together with lockdown as you mentioned :) Definitely a good addition overall!
Fun deck, been messing around with a double jace in one turn win condition for a while I'm going to try it in this deck. Speaking of value have you ever tried building a deck around altar of dementia in historic. The value of turning every card the opponent uses removal on into discard is just insane.
2 whales is absolutely fine, but 2 farewell is very greedy - usually sunfall does better job :) Often even 1 farewell is a bit greedy, most decks go for pure sunfall plan from what I've seen :)
@@SlothMtg i dont think so, its like greedy if you run it alongside a lot of big payoff affects, but if your deck is built well, it wont matter. I think there are a lot of decks in standard that do well when the game goes long, also the threats in standard are very diverse atm. So i think there's more to gain from running a sweeper that hits everything besides walkers honesty.
That's basically always the same deck with minor changes... I'm afraid standard has no more "secrets" to be found for the next 3 days. Standard hasn't been hiding any secret for the last 5 months. Let's just hope Ixalan won't be a failure like Eldraine is.
there's a 60% chance we'll get one red card which slightly improves monored, one ramp spell which can be put into the heavy ramp decks and one or two counterspell/sweeper/value cards to be put into pure control. and then there's a 40% chance of getting intriguing mechanics that oppose the current playstyle without having an unnecessary amount of requirements not suitable for standard.
Alternative thought: there's so many different decks to be built with all the sets and cards in standard. Like never before. Personally I love the fact they pushed it back another year. Would be awesome for paper playing if I still did that. On the other hand standard will evolve/devolve into what it does every rotation and set and I blame the internet.
A failure? I don't remember another set in that year that used so many different cards in every deck of the meta. Most rares (don't give me numbers on that idc) are usable and not complete trash, unlike previous sets like phyrexia. When's the last time you've seen a card from all will be one apart from mirrex and the other lands?
@@l0lan00b3personal thought : I'm very, very tired of playing the same cards for 2 years. I can't stand casting Emperor anymore, I'm utterly bored of playing Sheoldred or Go for the Throat. Of course there are more cards in Standard than it has never been before, but how many are really competitive against meta decks ? Only a handful. Ultimately, we all end up playing the same cards over and over again because the other ones are just not as good. For instance, I enjoy playing a werewolf deck these days. It's fun, surprising and it synergizes very well with some WOE cards. But I would never dare playing it on ladder, it doesn't stand a chance against mono red. So I end up playing the same old decks. On the other hand, if I was still playing on paper, I would be glad to see this non-rotation, since that's exactly the reason why I gave up paper (spending money every time was too painful eventually). Well, I admire streamers who still enjoy playing the same deck against the same decks every days for 2 years, but that's just not me, and I feel like I'm not the only one.

Extremely happy to hear man, thanks for letting me know!:) Gratz🔥🔥🎉🦥

Another banger, as usual!
Glad to hear!:)
Stuck between classic UW or 5cc for standard. These videos never get old.
Solid, fun and efficient - the very definition of Sloth
Thanks Bro - nearly as solid as your support!❤🔥🦥

Sounds amazing, but tbh since I started standard videos I don't pay historic generally:) But sounds epic :D
I think this deck is getting even better with Ixalan, since Get Lost is a better card than Fateful Absence.
True that :)
Yo estaba pensando lo mismo, es mejor poner Get Lost antes que Fateful Absence. Me echo el mismo mazo pero con ese cambio
Temporary Lockdown is a hilarious card. I have an entire deck built around using it as a wincon.
That's a good deck then :D
@@SlothMtg dunno about good, but putting 3 Hopeless Nightmares under it and blinking the thing to burn them to death is pretty hilarious.

Farewell can negate the lockdowns

@@thearn65 its optional, just dont pick enchantments when you cast it
Comment for algo
Appreciate it man!:)
