Hopefully not, but it would not be surprising if they did disappear. I think LEGO would need to release another castle set with those figures to justify keeping them on the PAB. But I would buy some by the end of the year to avoid the risk.
We are getting a new castle set from the 3in1 theme. I think in the summer... We just dont have any pictures yet. Im sad the other sets will go away. Medieval village so fast away. I will pick up some extra knights on pab.
@@RaventommmI doubt the 3in1 will have a lot of figs. Max 4, and as it's a "horse knight" castle, it might be a giant horse, lol. Like a Minecraft base. I hope not and I'm curious what it's going to be, but there are possible crazy outcomes from this.
Thanks for doing this rundown. For me, the must have is the Boutique Hotel. I've been eyeing it for a couple of years and its a beautiful building. I missed the Parisian Cafe a few years ago and this one gives me a similar feeling. If I were to get another one, it would probably be the Onyx Cinder. My kids and I loved the show and it feels like an interesting, unique Star Wars ship that may never come out again. Daily Bugle, of course, is great, but a bit out of my price range.
Sad to lose the 2 wonderful castles! i've made a list of all the ones I want from what you just read off. The ones I'm buying first are Buckbeak, the Vespa, the Red Dragon and the Forest Animals.
Great video. So what we are really saying is the important ones are Lion Knights Castle, Medieval Town square, Viking Village, Daily Bugle, Mighty Bowser, Boutique Hotel and Jazz Club. Luckily just two to get 😀
I note that lots of the powered-up pieces are retiring. From a reveal of the new education sets, it appears that we are getting a now system to replace it which will be usb-c rechargable. It will be nice to have the option to leave a charging hole in your train or whatever so that you don't have to disassemble it to replace the batteries.
I was ready to argue about the Trotting Lantern, but then I realised it's only because I find the Good Fortune set more beautiful and generally exciting. The reality is they're both stunning and full of interesting pieces, so love both!
Most of these retiring City and Friends sets are brand new in 2025, so why are they retiring after just one calendar year?! Makes no sense to me... but LEGO is all about cranking out as many new sets as possible to keep folks buying more and more...
So if there are figures or parts you want to get, do it now. Those red train doors from Hogwarts Express vanished the other day off pick a brick, I was waiting till today for 2x points...I chose poorly!
09:55 Yep…..can easily be made into a regular skyscraper OR even turned into the Daily Planet! Given that we don’t get a whole host of DC sets and the ones you do get are usually Batman ones. 🤔🤷🤣
Luckily, they're usually not that expensive on Bricklink, even after retirement. I am glad I already bought Andrea's Modern Mansion, though. That one might actually rise in price.
With the medieval blacksmith, medieval town and lion castle away… does that mean black falcon and lion soldiers will disappear from PAB?

Man... what a loss for medieval fans. Hopefully we can at least something medieval themed in the future.

Unless they put them in more sets, yes. As soon as the set goes the pick a brick figs and parts go.
Have to get Lion knights castle! I’ve been eyeing this for a long time.

Thank you my goat, your site is my go to for retirement lists, etcetera… Also, my wallet will be hurting severely this year, so many good sets

Are you complaining that brand new high quality sets are released frequently?
@tmdwu3110 No, I'm complaining that sets are being retired way too quickly.
You ninjago city inspiration video was awesome and well researched. Anyone who hasn’t seen it that is into that theme absolutely should.

29:16 not a Letty set but a Suki set from 2 Fast 2 Furious
The 2 wicked sets retiring are for location that isn't in the 2nd movie so it makes sense they are going first
Thanks. Once again ! 🎉
Losing all the best friends sets 😔

I am glad I already bought Andrea's Modern Mansion, though. That one might actually rise in price.
Some of the sets just came out this year, like the marvel mechs and some ninjago stuff
Best Lego UA-cam channel by far.
Did not expect 2 modulars to go.
It makes sense, none retired last year and usually if they don’t retire any in one year that means they will retire 2.

Just got the Ninjago dragonstone shrine on Amazon for 40% off! Love the Red Fox and will need to buy one more set so I've got all 3 build options.
Ouch. 😅
Hi brickfanatics.is there a downloadable list that can be printed off
The tallneck are already retiered, what horizons set are still in production? :)
There's a new one: 77037 Aloy & Varl vs. Shell-Walker & Sawtooth.
Ninjago?
Just a comment :)
Not minifigures.
Really from in investor standpoint nothing really interesting this year but some Star Wars sets and castle. Really disappointed
What about the 75394 Imperial Star Destroyer???
It looks like that set's retirement date might have been pushed back to early 2026, according to a quick google search.
